LOL, I made fun of Steam! Seriously though, post a few of them here. You can even say why you like them.
Bioshock Infinite: Bioshock in the sky, baby!
Counter-Strike (ALL OF THEM): Want to be a terrorist? You can carry a bomb and try to defend it from the do-gooder Counter-Terrorists.
Left4Dead: you need to do actual teamwork effort against the zombie apocalypse, which calls for a good co-op experience that's almost a MUST
Spec Ops: The Line: war is hard, and it's the first military shooter in years that actually gives an emotional impact on just how hard it can be
Life is Strange: this one is relatively new, but its depiction on the struggles of teenage life calls for one of the most refreshing adventure games since Telltale's The Walking Dead. Plus, you can reverse time.
Skyrim: RPG and mods. And shouts (Fus-Ro-Dah!). Yep, my kind of game.
Half-Life: All I'm saying is that this is good, and you've got to play this at least once in your lifetime.

Team Fortress 2 is an obvious choice for me, it's one of the only games I really play on Steam and it's still managed to keep me engaged for 3 years now.

What about Portal? Or Portal 2? I know some of you would have it on an Xbox or PlayStation, but does anyone here have it on Steam?

Left 4 Dead 2, Just Cause 2, TF2, Skullgirls, and Civilization V are my most played games on Steam. So I guess those?
Also Fallout 3 and Audiosurf are gold. Payday 2 if I could run it better. To The Moon and Walking Dead Season 1 have the best stories I've experienced. And the Portal games are fantastic. |

I suppose that it could be emotional, as long as you can look past the very severe railroading and anvilicious-ness and don't actually think past the shallow layers of the game. On topic: Crypt of the Necrodancer, Dead Space 1/2, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind...
