You don't have to buy gems. You get 1 gem every day if you keep your dragons fed above 80%. Otherwise, you can convert treasure to gems by going to forums -> Items for Sale, and find someone who's selling their gems for treasure.

Right now the ratio is about 1:500. Which means one gem will cost you 500 treasure.

Otherwise, I believe 10 bucks is enough. You can also buy those gems for real money, then sell the gems for treasure. 1000 gems would get you about 500,000 treasure or more.

Does anybody know how to make bio's look like the one for this dragon, for example? I've been struggling for 30 minutes, and I can't get it right at all. I'm referring to the part under its title and that image with lanterns, with those small pics of apparel and where the story is. I've been trying to do the left, right and centre thing in all possible ways but it never comes out looking right.

I have no idea, but there are some templates here. I'm not sure if that specific template is listed there, but some of the others are pretty nice if you can't get that one.

I think I might use those little flight dividers, too. They're purty.

EDIT: The "Ecks 3" and "Aura" have medium space for images at the side. The "Simple" one has a little breeding panel at the top, which you can replace with images.

When I saw Naoki in the description with a heart, I thought that you put him there to signify that he's Atera's pet. Then I had a brief flashback of the golden Tundra clan... uhh, the chains and collars didn't help.

I'm keeping my descriptions simple, though. Maybe I should find some space to put a little portrait and some items.

The text color's always black, it just appears orange by default to the user who owns the dragon for some reason (until you post a link, then the text that was before the link is orange and the rest is black)

Actually the text is black in Atera's bio for me too and I didn't alter anything, just the font.

Yet for my other dragon, I also changed the font but it's still orange.

Maybe it's because of the color change on her title? I've never used color codes, so I don't know how that affects the rest of the bio.

Coding Manipulate as needed.

For me, it's 2 flight banners to represent how that dragon aligns. The top one is primary, then the latter is a secondary affiliation. In between these 2 is that dragon's familiar that I matched with that dragon based on various aesthetic factors. I would like to do another image, but am not sure just what.

The familiar images aren't working on our end, Seiki. You have to copy the image location and use that, I think, since item codes don't work in biographies for some reason.

It's why I don't feel like using item icons in my bios since it's so much more work than using the codes.
