I admit I prefer the dub, mainly for the digimon's voices. But my main issue is that I tried watching the first season again about 2 year ago and realized that it was horribly corny, and that kind of ruined the experience for me. I don't know whether that was just the dub making it corny or digimon itself is a corny series though. I've only watched a few clips with the sub.

lol I loved Digimon as a kid. I adored the world games more so than anything from the series though (except the 2nd game. I failed at that one because of the time limits, and I sucked at time limits when I was a kid).

The Gabumon family and the Biyomon family where my favourites when I was a kid. <3
I also love Guilmon and Renamon (and their family), but goddammit the fury porn for the later is disgusting.

Yeah I liked Tamers. It's not as good as the first two seasons, but it's better than the crap that came after it. And the new Digimon designs are amazing. I thought Xros Wars/Fusion was going to bring Digimon back but it ended up failing after the first season. Hopefully this new series will bring the franchise back properly.

Lol I adore Digimon World 1 and 2003/3 and Rumble Arena. But that's pretty much it with the games.
Except Digimon World 1 got annoying with the pooping problems and I DON'T WANT THE POO DIGIMON AFTER WORKING SO HARD TO GET AN ULTIMATE DAMMIT.

I don't wanna like get attached to characters and have them die tho cuz I know a lot of anime is like that.

depends on whatever type of genre you want to watch

If it's action, then Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. It's like, the best action (or rather shonen) anime. Although.... if you don't like depressing stuff then maybe you shouldn't watch it. It's certainly not a depressing anime but it occasionally has deaths that, although don't happen to the main cast, really get to you.

I personally love Durarara and Kuroko no Basket the most at the moment, but you may not like them. Durarara is more about the interactions of characters within a Japanese city, and how the characters get involved with stuff that happens within the city. There is not deaths, and it's the only anime where I love all the cast so much that I don't care which ever character it focuses on. and it has the bastard that's in my avatar, which is my fave fictional anime character of all time.

Kuroko..... if you like basketball you may like it... if you're not a fan of sport you still can like it. I love it even though I'm not a fan of sport at all. But it's somewhat corny and the audience seems to have switched from a male to a female fan base, so you may not like it. I have some issues with it myself but I can't say it because it's spoilers for other people who haven't read the manga. Yet I'm still Kuroko trash.

The original line was better. The changes seem rather subtle, but still the way the faces and hair are is just better. Plus they have matching bases. Same design, different colors. Shizuo's is blue and Izaya's red. Plus, don't know if you know, but you can swap out some of the parts on those figures.
Celty has a different head piece that is smoke coming from her neck.
Izaya has an alternate arm that switches the knife to be a phone against his ear.
Shizuo has a different hand so you don't have to have him hold the sign, then he has an alt head without his sunglasses.

So happy they made the Celty nendoroid though. Pre-ordered it earlier today.

Naegi's is the same. idk anyone else's VA from the game, but I know Papenbrook is Naegi & Komaeda in the games. Then really excited because he's coming to a local anime convention at the beginning of June. :3 Gonna try to get him to sign my Kirito Figma's base. Might watch the anime, Greg Ayers should be better than Monokuma's annoyingly high-pitched voice in the game. Never played, but seen a couple vids.

Kind of died out on anime. The only one I recently watched was...think Children Who Chase Lost Voices. Loved it. Reminds me of a Ghibli film.

I watched the sub cuz the dub wasn't out. Either one is good tho. Sub might be better, I haven't watched all the Dub

tbh it annoys me when people are downright against dubs. I mean sure some are terrible but some of them are actually really good, even better than the sub. Like for instance it annoys me when people say that the Soul Eater, Cowboy Bebop, Durarara, Fullmetal Alchemist and Dragonball Z dubs are terrible when they're honestly really good, and FMA and DBZ (and I'd go as far to say Soul Eater too) are better than the sub but people just don't want to admit it. Space Dandy is another example of the dub being better than the sub. :\

I also recommend Soul Eater and Blue Exorcist if you want comedy and action. Attack on Titan is a brilliant action anime but lacks comedy since it's more of a serious anime, and since you've mentioned before that you don't want to get depressed over the anime, AoT might not be good for you because it really gets depressing at times. SE and BE have good comedy and last time I checked don't have anything that's seriously downright depressing, and they're not complete generic action anime like the 'big 5', so there's that too.

Rather agree. I often watch dub if possible, but the Cardcaptor sakura dub is just awful. This isn't an opinion of dub vs sub argument, it is fact. Back when CCS first came out dubbed, anime was still new to the US, so it was expected only boys would like it for some odd reason. CCS was not made for boys... Episodes were made out of order with some flat out skipped to put more focus on Syaoran and make it more action-oriented. The first episode is actually episode 21 of the dub. All gay undertones between Toya & Yukito were removed and many names were changed or mispronounced to fit a more American style (such as Tomoyo being renamed Madison). The opening & ending sequence and song were changed. When released in the US, the series' 70 episodes were cut and rearranged into 39.

Another dub was done by a different company and released in English speaking parts of Asia. While this second dub is more faithful, it still isn't quite right with some names still mispronounced and Kero's voice is quite ear-grating especially. If you or anyone you know mentions a desire to watch Cardcaptor Sakura, they MUST watch the sub.

^ Yeah I do hate it when dubs do more than just change the voices to English, such as taking out stuff and changing the opening/ending. Tokyo Mew Mew and Sonic X comes to mind. Although some dub openings are really good like the first Pokemon opening. Although I did meant the dubs that only change the voices and that's it, like the ones I previously stated.

Also just watched a few scenes from Soul Eater NOT, and there's no way I'm watching it. I know it's not supposed to be like the main series but I still think it looks awful (especially the fight animations). And I hate Maka and Soul's appearance in it. I understand that they're younger here since the NOT series is set before the main one, but I still don't like Maka's moe look and the fact that Soul looks like he's on drugs (or maybe 'emo' is a better word to describe it). Come on Bones just pull off a FMA Brotherhood already and give us a remake of Soul Eater rather than giving us this.
Although the Manga's direction still sucked, dragged on, a few of the characters lost their personality that made them amazing and ended up being boring (looking at you Soul, and DtK to a degree), the plot got less interesting as well as having a crappy ending with many question left unanswered, so I don't even know if a remake is worth it ether.

Like I can't watch Soul Eater subbed because I like the dub so much and I just prefer it over the subbed version. All of the English voices suit the characters really well (especially Soul, Maka and Kid's voices) and I have nothing to complain about the dubs for Durarara, Fullmetal Alchemist & Cowboy Bebop. Ouran High School Host Club also has a really great dub as well and I never watch it subbed lol. I'm really glad that someone else thinks the same way because I hate Soul Eater NOT an awful lot too. I read two volumes of the manga before the anime got adapted and I couldn't even finish it. I mean...in Soul Eater NOT they tried to make every single character look like K-On characters and tried to make everything as cutesy and moe as possible, which isn't what Soul Eater's like at all. I mean I get that SEN is meant to be a spinoff, but it could've at least made the art style somewhat similar to the original. The animation was pretty flat too, and I was rather surprised because Bones usually does pretty top-notch animation. I pretty much dislike it for all of the reasons that you've just listed and I was rather disappointed in Bones for animating Soul Eater NOT instead of doing a remake of the original Soul Eater anime. :/ But then again, the last chapter for the Soul Eater manga was a massive let down and I don't think I'd wanna see it animated along with a few other chapters, so yeah, I completely agree with you on that as well.

But yeah, i agree with the dub statement. I haven't exactly watched a lot of anime, and the ones i have usually don't have dubs. Although, i watched te dub if PaSwG and omfg it was magical. I tried watching the sub and i see how what they say can be seen as better than the dub, but i just like the swearing, nonsensical, and completely insane dub. I also watched the Future Diary dub because i bought the dvd because why the hell not, and it was pretty good for the most part. I've only seen a few scenes of the sub so i cannot say which is better and which is worse. Now, Attack on Titan...i don't hate it. I actually feel like they did a pretty good job; however, i feel as if they dumbed down some of the dialog between characters (the convo between Mikasa and Eren before battle of trost comes to mind) but it doesn't really matter much. I'm totally fine with watching dub or sub (points off for sub if they have the annoying Naegi/Yuki shrill girl boy voice >.< ).

Yeah Ouran is another good example where I prefer the dub over the sub. Vic just suits Tamaki so well, and same goes with the other characters. Toradora is another good dub that comes to mind. And sometimes I prefer the dub because I admit that sometimes the high pitched Japanese girl voice annoys me at times, so I like how some dubs make them sound less high pitched (Shana comes to mind. I love her dubbed voice). And yeah I do agree that there are some terrible dubs out there, like the Higurashi dub. It just annoys me when people dis the ones that are actually good. It's like, do you even know what an actual terrible dub sounds like or are you just trolling?? Ok I know that people have their own opinions but it still gets annoying you know? xD
It's also annoys me when sub fans hate on dubs in general, saying they're all bad, when like what I said before, there are a lot of brilliant dubs out there despite the loads of terrible ones.

And I agree. I loved Soul Eater for it's 'Halloween' style, and I hate how it was changed to the moe look in SE NOT. Apparently the manga doesn't have this different style, but I'm still not reading it because I just don't want to waste time on something that I will more than likely not enjoy (I know I won't enjoy it even if the art style hasn't changed, because it's the fact that it's a shoujo that bothers me).

There is one thing that has always bothers me about SE though, and it's the fact that it's called Soul Eater despite Soul not being the main protagonist. I understand that the author wasn't meant to name it after Soul and the title actually represents something else (which I forgot lol), but then it's like, why use Soul's soul as the logo than instead of a different soul? The title was missleading for me because of the fact that Soul's soul is used as the logo. xD
