What do you think about this listing?
It's pretty suspicious to me, since it's pretty cheap and of course 'cause it's from China. (I'm looking for to get Legendary Grim Creeper - only in-game variant I'm still missing from SF - and since I live in a small country in Europe, my best chance is eBay.) There are a couple of similar listings from China, I've looked for sellers' feedbacks and among the negative-neutral ones I have not found any that indicated these Skylanders are fake, non-working, etc.

I've seen some Skylanders figures show up on sites focused on buying things from China, especially Nightmare Express for unknown reasons - think I've seen this exact listing as well. While the figures seem fine, still ask the seller - in the same sites there are plenty of lots where the figures have no chips and you can't choose which one you get.

I've bought loads of Skylanders from China (I have over 150 non working ones from bulk lots), and I, to this day, have not gotten any fakes.
I've even bought several figures from some websites early, and they all work. These, no doubt, are not fake. Their paint is too perfect to have been done by hand. I haven't bought from that seller before, but if they include the card/code, it'll almost definitely work.

The seller has commonly bootlegged WOW action figures.
I bought one in Shanghai after inspecting it, thinking that it looked perfect. It didn't fit together once opened, and when I finally got the 'real' figure, I could see small differences. Buying from China, you're pretty much gambling. With Skylanders, they have not been able to replicate the chip...."yet". So, most of the Skylanders toys sold by individual sellers like this are broken/stolen ones being smuggled out. Buyer beware. Personally, I wouldn't risk it. Especially with so many US-based sellers. |

Maybe I'm missing something, but what's the point of buying figures like this (without chip, from China etc)...these prices are basically NIB prices too. Picking up some figures i need (never used, just open out of box) for $2-$4 each. Shrug...

Shipping to Europe from US isn't cheap...somehow, this person is able to ship from China and still turn a profit. The good thing is that if something doesn't work or if the item is counterfeit, EBay buyer protection will cover you. Heck...I'd mail the OP a Legendary Lightcore Grim Creeper myself, but after shipping to Europe, I'm fairly certain it'd run about $20. Does anybody have a more accurate estimate how much it takes to ship a single figure to Europe? |

If I could just buy bulk lots of the reposes or lightcores, I think I'd do that as I prefer the uniformity of using only S1/Gimmicklanders. Still, some of the reposes do look cool.

I far as I can remember, on eBay it's something between 12-18$ usually, depending on the actual price of the item itself. Of course, most in-game variants sell over retail, so combined with the shipping, it can be really-really pricy. With L-Grim Creeper, my second best choice costs twice than this, so basically twice the retail, that's why I even cosidered this listing in the first place.

Thank you guys for all the answers, I've decided to take my chance with a similiar listing. I'd already bought a bunch of the in-games variants (most of them was never released here) well over retail prices, so I will be thrilled, if this turns out to be okay.
