April fools topics should be posted in Stuff & Nonsense or the main game page and not on the skylanders boards. If any REAL news emerges tomorrow it will be hard for users to find it. Furthermore, it makes the board just look messy if it is full of fake/ April fools topics.

Just to re-post the message I left in the Trap Team Section:

Any April Fool's posts/troll posts that appear will be deleted, no exceptions. If the offender should spam-post topics multiple times, there will be suspensions taken into consideration.

Lastly, if any "news posts" are made, but do not have any types of proof, they will be deemed as spam if proof isn't provided.


Sorry about being the party poopers, but we're doing this to keep the Skylanders forums under control, as there are many younger users on here that tend to be sensitive/gullible to the slightest bit of info.

Dark already has some stuff planned for the site, so that should (possibly) get a few giggles out of people.

Couldn't we have a (fake) leak sticky board tomorrow posted by the mods,which would be the only place where we could joke around like that? I'm totally okay if making them all over the place will cause trouble, but maybe something a bit more fabricated where everyone keeps talking about game features but linking somewhere else entirely(like my post about Fling Kong actually being Donkey Kong)...?

So, am I correct in assuming that the whole monetization of the forums situation is DarkSpyro's April Fool's joke? I haven't been on since last Wednesday, so if this is a real change, I'd love to know for sure. I was pretty okay with this as a permanent thing until I noticed the 2 coin payment required to post. smilie

You can actually change your title though (where it says yellow sparx above your name) just click on the coin balance at the top of the page.

This took some decent coding to implement this. Even keeping track on what I'm spending money on etc. Additional tables etc. But I can't change my login id.... hmmfff. Must not have purchased a good board system.
