Some times people who LOVE PM come off as arrogant. Saying PM is the best smash game of all time, and that Smash 4 is a disaster. Not all of them, but if you look at a lot of the downvoted comments in the Project M subreddit, you see hate for Smash 4.

There are going to be people like that in every community, I've even seen some for Sm4sh. I don't think that's a reason to hate the mod itself.

Agreed. I've played Project M and love it, but boy does it get boring to me after a while.

You can say the same thing about Melee fans. I would argue Melee fans are even worse with the Smash 4 hate (did you hear about APEX 2015 and what it did to r/smashbros after?).

Melee fans (and Smash fans in general) often feel like they get picked on by the FGC for trying to play a "party game" competitively. But yet Melee fans have a very nasty habit of acting the same way towards Brawl and 4 players.

Melee fans are definitely worse. They are afraid Smash 4 will replace Melee as the fan favorite.

Nah they aren't afraid Smash 4 will be the favorite. They're confident Melee will survive because they think Smash 4 is Brawl 2.0.

This game is so well balanced.

Even the lowest tiered characters are useful in their own right.

BTW, is there any point to Rosalina's Down Special? It sucks in projectiles, but really doesn't do anything else. She might as well use her shield. I hear sucked in projectiles can hurt enemies nearby, but a projectile using enemy that gets close enough in time NEVER happens. ...EVER.

I'm not exactly the Rosalina main here, so what I say should be taken with a grain of salt.

But along with what you said about them hurting someone if they're close by, sometimes it doesn't just suck in the projectile, but places it in front of her so she can use it herself (see: Pac-Man's fruit).

It's also just good at stopping offensive tactics. Luma makes it possible to zone the other character if they require getting up close and personal, so some characters end up trying to rely on projectiles. And if you charged up a projectile and it got stopped by Rosalina you're kinda left with the option of either finding a new means to attack (often up close) or charging all over again.

Rosalina's Down Special is amazing.

For one, it completely denies projectile spamming. A shield can't serve that effect, as it's easier to punish due to hit lag. This essentially means Rosalina can force almost every projectile user in the game to approach her and take her on up close, where she will have an inherent advantage against them. Only exception is Mega Man, as he can still move around fluidly while shooting most of his projectiles.

Secondly, if the projectile isn't something that can be picked up (e.g. Peach's Turnips), then it will spin wildly around Rosalina before going under her gown. During this time period, Rosalina is the "owner" of the projectile, meaning it can hurt the player who launched it. I have KO'd many a Samus/Lucario/Robin/Mega Man player by short hopping into them and using Gravitational Pull, making their respecitive fully charged energy blasts hit themselves (it will actually work on Robin's Thoron from a middle range because the beam is so long). It even works against Villager's Tree and Pikachu's Thunder, to hilarious effect! And energy blasts from Assist Trophies and Pokémon too (I love it when my opponents get Phosphora when I'm playing as Rosalina).

Thirdly, if the projectile can be picked up, it will actually be drawn towards Rosalina and she can pick it up immediately after. Most useful against Pac-Man and his fruit. Rosalina can steal his fruit consistently with great ease, something other characters can't do as it disappears so fast.

And if you are playing with items on, it will straight up bring any and all items to Rosalina. I think it may even have an effect on the Smash Ball, but I'll have to double check.

Also it momentarily slows down her aerial acceleration, which can be good for stalling and faking people out.

^Brawler you should record our next match to show how the Down-B can mess with someone with projectiles (Pac-Man).

And it'll be fun anyway. These people probably want to see my ass beat.

I once took my PS2 to school and hosted a tournament in Anime Club for One Piece Grand Adventure.

I'm too lazy to set my Wii U up, so unless someone challenges me to a match or I decide to set it up I'm not going to play today.
