Okay so i was looking in some gamestop magazines i had and i just saw a picture of the supposed hub world before trap team came out and i am

wondering why would they change it if it looked so cool but yeah i just wanted to bring this up because it was so amazing but now its gone but oh well

Why the small versions of the image?

Old version. The lack of walls on all sides in the new one makes for cool lighting but I prefer a nice cozy castle and the more spread out courtyard.

On a side note, where does the water come from? We can see the waterfalls dropping off the edges of the islands and from there it could fall on lower islands or form clouds and get rained back down. But what happens if it doesn't rain for a few weeks? Where is all that water coming from?

Also, wouldn't things sometimes fall off/get thrown off higher islands and land on islands below? Yet I've never seen anything randomly drop from the sky when I've been playing Skylanders.

It's a Water Elemental tower. So cool you can say a wizard did it. Plenty of levels have water that comes from nowhere that just drops into the abyss,same with any items that can be just rolled off.

Concept art, not even a video game prototype. IMO the image "looks cool", but doesn't look very functional.

I like the Academy as it is, it's an awesome hub, but I do prefer the old one, at least from the only image we got of it.

Agreed. Old one is better, but Skylanders Academy is still great!

There are similarities between both, however the academy seems to be more open space. What would have been cool is to being able to go the floating islands. Let's see what skylanders 5 hub looks like.
