Im happy that gwen is a spidergirl and im okay with it because it has been estabislashed in past comics that their are alternate versions of characters. I hate how now the trend seems to be to replace the original characters of something with either a woman or a person or color and it just make me so mad because i feel like these so called 'Writers' are too lazy to make their own original character with cool powers and a cool backstory that can be a woman or a person of colour so they choose to just make an existing character black or a woman. I find it offensive too, its like oh your a woman or a person of colour? and want to be in a movie? okay then we're just gonna make you play a gender or race swap of an existing character cause you know making an ORIGINAL character is apparently too hard for hollywood to do. I mean what happened to making badass characters like ripley of the Alien franchise or the crystal gems of steven universe and Nick fury of the marvel cinimetic universe. UHHHH!!!! Sorry for the rant.
