Everyone can't pronounce my first and last name. However, when I correct them, they think its the most unique name in the world. B)

well not really my first or middle names (though people sometimes get my first name wrong and ???????) but my middle name always ends up misspelt by the school and whatnot

I want to ask everyone's name to see if I can pronounce them but at the same time I don't want to be a creep .-.

My first name has a lot of different pronunciations, it can be generally hard to pronounce I guess, and most of those I know say my first name a different way each. My first middle name is something I even have a hard time saying, though most people would do fine with it, and my last name is hard for others generally but I can say it.

First name is easy.
Last name is a nightmare.

My last name isn't even that hard to pronounce. It's just 2 one syllable words put together, and I get all kinds of silly names when people try to pronounce it.

I have common first and middle names and my last name isn't tough at all.

My last name is twelve letters and nobody can ever pronounce it right ;-;

No one can seem to spell or say my last name right, it's not even that hard.

My last name has been in need of being spelt out at times.

Thankfully, I have an easy-to-pronounce first name and surname.

All of my names are painfully easy to pronounce, but everyone I know always manages to mess up my last name.

My name really is easy to say. I still don't understand why some people call me Caroline when it's not my name at all. How the heck do you get Caroline from Carol Ann?

My last name is the 2nd most common one in the UK, and the 10th most common in the US (last time I checked, at least), so I doubt anyone will have trouble with it.


My first name is a derivative of the Hebrew name meaning "God will raise up" or "God will set free."

Pretty easy, too.

I have a pretty generic first and last name but people still seem to mispronounce my first name??? Like how?? It's only 5 letters?

My last name is literally a word in the english dictionary so I'd be pretty concerned if people mispronounced that.

That's how it's mispronounced.

It's meant to be pronounced with each letter individually. If you want to pronounce it "khav" that's your choice but I tend to respond to "c-a-v" more.

Not to be a stickler about it but nearly everyone mispronounced it at first in the group.

Almost everyone gets my last name wrong the first time. It's just unusual. And my middle name is so unusual that I didn't even know how to spell it for a while, and when I thought I did it was wrong.

I've been called Grebble & Geeble.

I suppose my regular internet name "Xalder" is easily mispronounced.

I mean, I guess maybe I'm pronouncing it wrong, but having created the name for myself (even if I'm not the first one to ever think of putting those 6 letters together), I do get to choose how it's pronounced, right?

I have to find something that rhymes with my name so its easier for people to remember it.

My first name is pretty simple but people always mistake it for "laura" or "lauren" which is really annoying
my middle name is easy so nobody has problems with that
my last name is Hungarian so when people ask how to pronounce it we have to pronounce it wrong just to make it easier for everyone else

Same problem as BH_W for my first name. Really easy to pronounce, but I've given up on correcting teachers with spelling. >.>

Don't really have many problems with my middle and last names.. Annoying when people write a 'z' instead of an 's' for my middle name, however.

I'm not really sure how to explain it. The finnish "a" is pronounced like the "a" in "father", but it's shorter. The "i" is like the "e" in "see", but it's shorter also. In fact the whole thing is pronounced really fast, like a casual blink of an eye.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I tried.
