A Death Note American remake! Not sure if this is a good or bad thing.

Eh.... The anime was good, the original movies were alright but cut a lot going about the ending how they did. I'll likely pass on American remakes....

Never watched it so i can't say one way or the other.

I hated Death Note but I have a lot of faith in Shane Black.

On a more serious note, saying Dragonball Evolution was bad so any Anime adaptation will be bad is like saying "Green Lantern and Daredevil were bad so every superhero film will be terrible."

Well given his track record of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Lethal Weapon, and Iron Man 3, I'd say pretty good.

Plus he's making a Predator movie so he's good in my book.
