He was originally called Fire Dragon, because Spyro himself was set to be another character, an NPC, the king of the realm, in the early Spyro's Kingdom game,

Once they decided to go with Skylanders, the choice was clear.

I think he meant one of the answers was wrong.

The only other one I could think about is Knight Light, as he does have bird's features, but mostly play the angel concept, in my opinion.
