So, as some might know, I had left the site several months ago. The reason why is because I had not wanted to get Trap Team, which I eventually did. What I thought would replace it is something called Krosmaster, a board game with collectible figurines. I have been in a mental struggle between these two ever since Trap Team was announced, but I have a plan to quell this.

I have a complete collection of every unique-in-play-style character from SSA to SSF, and I have spent a lot of money on these games. I want to be able to attain both Krosmaster and Skylanders, and I can do so with a jumpstart involving money. That jumpstart can come from selling some of these characters. To be exact, 16 from SSA and SSF, which the 16 from SSF would be the cores.

Honestly, the collector sense inside of me wants me to get them all. But I know that I really only select a few from each element when I play the game anyway. So, do I want a load of 47 (I will be selling my variants down to 8 and selling my three STT cores, , , and ) to be sitting on a shelf gathering dust? They really are only display pieces now, so what's the point?

In exchange for this, I will collect all 18 of the Trap Masters, with Spotlight and Blackout to balance out the Light and Dark elements, and obtain the Mirror of Mystery and Nightmare Express, selling and in the process. This will let me attain enough money, according to my estimates(which may or not be wrong) to get the currently released Trap Masters, and the two adventure packs with magic items.

I am unsure what Gamestop's prices are for these guys, but I hope it would be worth it. The main point of this is to see if others think this is a smart idea or not. Let the opinions fly.

personally your better off selling figures online vs gamestop, they dont give you much for trade-ins but it is quick cash. But for me, i just started collecting them and even thou i dont play them all i still want them just for the collection. I also looked up a few of the gamestop trade in values, its 2-4 dollars for some of them, you can get double that by selling online but will take more time for sure. In the end its your call, I say weigh it out, think on it for a few days and that normally makes the choice clear for me.

Plus TRU usually has some pretty good sales that will save you a few bucks.

Seems you have it all figured out except where to sell. The one other thing that you will need is to buy 7 traps, the Kaos trap and one from each element except life, water, light, dark. These 4 come in starter/expansion packs. Traps go for about $7 a piece. If you want to be able to play as the villains.

I forgot to mention that I already own Wildfire, Krypt King, Wallop, and Snap Shot, along with one of every trap but the Light and Dark.

Anyway, this is a nice plan, but I can't really sell online. Reasons only known to me, and I would rather not explain them here. Sure, it would land more in the long run, and it would definitely earn more than Gamestop, but right now I can't really. If I had another way to earn some more money, I would take it.

Alright, so now that I have thought about it, I won't go with the entirety of this plan. I will sell only my current cores, and get one Trap Master from each element. and get the four current adventure packs. That way I can access the entire game, and only have one from each element.

Umm why not collect Krosmaster and wait till the Trap Team go on discount ?

I kinda share this problem , I am totally addicted to DND minis collecting . I get a batch every 6 months or so .

Thanks for the idea, but just after looking at Swap Force stuff across three different stores, I doubt that the price will change much.
