I've heard a few complaints about the cost of these packs, though it gave most of us what we needed for 100% completion of the game.
So I was wondering what you would think if they added the light/dark cores instead of the TMs for the last 2 expansion packs.

Do you mean originally or from now on? Cause if it's the latter, then I have some questions:

1) Would they eventually become single packs if they launch in adventure packs in wave 4?
2) What would be the price or the add in to the pack? Or are you recommending they just put it as the level piece and they core?

From the start, no.

With a Trap Master is ok.

Spotlight and Blackout should be sold in single packs first. Then sold in triple packs much later in Wave 5. I either believe or doubt that they will be sold greatly in Light and Dark Expansion packs.

I thought about this and posted this idea in another thread and it may not be an original idea. Since the light/dark trap masters are being released as individuals, it seems that the chapters and traps would be left without a sales method. It may be a later wave or a .5 wave that puts the light/dark cores in the adventure pack after they have been solo released. Sold for the usual $25 ish price we are all used to. Seems logical once the expansion packs are all gone.

I don't know... you would unlock the Light and Dark Elements in the game, but you would still not be able to open Light and Dark Gates.

if the trap masters came out before the expansion packs then i say put the cores in instead, but they didnt and it would have been a slap to our faces if they gave us the cores but not the masters to 100% the game.

But again, if the masters are going to be sold as solos then i can see ether the cores being in the new expansion packs or the expansion item being sold by itself.

Wouldn't it be better if Spotlight and Blackout came with the adventure packs along with the TM?

Not for the tons of fans who have already bought the existing Light/Dark packs. The last thing I want is to have an extra two levels that I can't do anything with. I'll be pretty furious if the rumors about the original Light/Dark packs being discontinued turn out to be true and then Activision replaces them with packs that are basically identical except with Core figures instead of Trap Masters.

Just wanted to ask. Me? I like the expansion packs the way they are. Blackout & Spotlight are better as singles and part of triple packs.
Prefer the TMs to the expansion packs so you could get 100% of the game

I think that their soul gems are behind gates that require the trap masters. Because of this, it makes a lot of sense to make sure people have Knight Light and Knight Mare first. That being said, they probably should never have put soul gems behind elemental gates.

It is pretty messed up that you can't get the light and dark trap master soul gems without the expansion packs , and you can't get the light and dark core soul gems without the trap masters. Pretty much forcing you to buy the set . I would've anyway , but stil....

Yes, they really should not even sell the light and dark trap masters without the expansion level. Knight Light is one of the best melee characters in Skylanders, and it just so happens that his soul gem powers up his basic attacks. Pretty mandatory! At least you can find the levels sold separately on eBay fairly cheap from people who didn't want to keep it after they unlocked the level.

My favorite Skylander is Knight Light, I was really looking forward to get him. I really didn't care about the light trap and the sunscrapper, but since I didn't know if Knight Light was going to be released single I bought the pack. That said, if spotlight had been included on the expansion pack instead of knight light, then the trap master would have been released sigle which would have suited better my preferences.
