All this talk about some snow. Can't you people just dress warmly?..

Edit: Oh, I just realized that everything is closed there too.

It's really not that bad over here. It snowed a lot on Monday, stopped by Monday night, continued a little for Tuesday morning, and then stopped entirely. There was even some bits of sun. The city panicked and overreacted over absolutely nothing, shutting down the subway pointlessly. It's a fair bit of snow yes, but not the 2-3 feet that everyone was predicting the city to get.

I think we've just gotten paranoid about storms ever since Sandy hit. But I assure you it was nothing. I hear Boston got hit hard though.

Everything (the subway, bridges, etc) closed at 11 PM Monday. But by morning everything was open and operating as normal.

Upstate New York laughs at our good friends downstate. I mean, sure it was the governor that shut things down, but people up here would have just gone about doing stuff anyway. @.@

I think anyone who doesn't live in New York always thinks of Manhattan first.

It snowed again (at least in NYC). Rained a bit too so it turned to ice. Then it snowed again again.

We're still not dead.

It's not like NYC gets a lot of snow. Usually only 2-3 major snowfalls ("major" being 2-3 inches) and a few flurries now and then.

NYS on the other hand gets hammered. HIR's post says enough.

Western New York usually got a lot of snow, so this isn't anything new
