I was wondering, for those who have her, which of her paths is better?
I was leaning towards Pet Purveyor (has the 3 special pet bats), but watched Skylander Boy and Girl where Skylander Dad showed Bat Betterment (bat form). I watched it & that path seems to do lots of damage.
However, I would like other opinions. Worst case scenario, I get another Bat Spin when she comes out. Buying one on EBay is bad enough.

I can tell you Pet Purveyor is much like Bumble Blast...Mr Bitey does the work for you and the other two keep you safe and assist. I can tell you you if you go with Pet Purveyor you'll not go into Bat Form. In my opinion she's easily one of the strongest cores in Trap Team. Her malestorm of bats is awesome and her soul gem is devastating (a word I rarely use). When I was using the soul gem if you held the button the ball of bats would stay stationary, and if you have bad guys near you...they are toast because it multiplies damage. The good thing is that you'll do damage even while retreating, so I see her as a good one to use in Nightmare. Mr Bitey did like 150+ of damage as well.

The problem with the bat form for me is that the screech attack is VERY close proximity. I'm sure the other path addresses those shortcomings, but I found her bat form without upgrades to be basically useless.

EDIT: The good thing about Bat Betterment is that with more bats the malestorm effect is amplified, and with the bat form sending out more bats with bites, you can do this very easily. However, the 3 bats you get on the other path will be used in the malestorm attack so I feel it's equal on the whole...except the malestorm attack is more centrally focused around you on Pet path whereas the radius of the attack is extended on the Bat path.

I have my Bat Spin on Pet Purveyor path and I am very pleased. I see either path being very good actually after viewing the video of the paths:

Yeah, the soul gem ability does absolutely crazy damage based on my friend using it on a target dummy at least (we didn't start a new chapter once she unlocked the ability). Other than that the Pet Purveyor path seemed nice at least, and the named bats are very cute. If I get Bat Spin for myself at some point, that's the path I'll pick.

BAT BETTERMENT !! by far !!

I think Pet Purveyor is good enough.

I'm probably get another one and do what I did for High Five: get 2 for each path.

Not sure why they pick the mediocre skylanders to have in game variants...in my opinion she deserved a double dip with an in game variant.

Hell yeah. After watching the video you posted, I think she has one of the most powerful Soul Gem attacks to date. 156 points of damage? Hate to see what she does when she hits critical damage to an enemy.

Either path would be nice because that would mean we actually had an opportunity to buy Bat Spin (and High Five, for that matter).

They were both easily attainable for a while from Amazon Germany, but just recently has been out of stock on foreign Amazon websites. It's very cost effective if you're buying other figures...not so cost effective if you just need one or two figures. I wound up buying Bat Spin from Amazon Germany along with several Amiibo figures (including Wii Fit Trainer and Villager) that a friend wanted and just splitting the shipping cost with him. I should be getting my Bat Spin this week. With the favorable exchange rate with Euro and the fact that taxes get deducted for international orders, it really isn't that much more expensive if you buy a few items.

WOW! Looking at the video she does a lot of damage per second, more than I had really expected from her. This could be one of those times where I really do want to get two figures. Typically when I question which path to take, the top one is the one I pick as it tends to be the best more time than not.

Anyway, I'm not too worried about her appearing in stores. The cores so far hasn't really been all that hard to get in person. I'm certain I'll see a few hundred of these when she actually does hit the US shelves. Just have to keep being patient, which is hard as I wanted her minute one from the first time I saw her in that chip promotion.

I agree with you, fairyland. She's so much better than Funny Bone.

I chose Pet Purveyor but that was only because I thought increasing the bat form was putting more energy into a form that I do not super care for, if I had a choice of the two. Will agree she is one of the best core characters in Trap Team, right up there with Tread Head.

Wish we could get another version of her rather than another monotonous, tedious, trite, banal, overused, etc version of Pop Fizz. I mean really, do we really need 5 versions of Pop Fizz in 3 games when so many other characters have just one. I do not want variants of every character but Pop Fizz instead of say Bat Spin or Tread Head or Torch etc.

Mine fell just a few minutes ago.
WON'T. HAPPEN. AGAIN.

However, just finished upgrading her, she's a beast!
Took care of Wolfgang without almost any problem (she's not maxed out, yet).

I'm on the bat path, and I really like two things about it:
- the fact that now the bats follow you (even if I kinda liked how you could strategically place them, and then use the swarm attack right in the middle of them, but you can still do it, if you don't get too close) in both forms;
- the fact that you can now summon bats even while transformed. I will still use her regular form, for the swarm attack.

Also, her Soul Gem...
I used it against a training dummy, while holding the button down, and she dealt, like, 3000 damages in a couple seconds...
I assume the ball will disappear, when using it like that against real enemies... Right...?... RIGHT...?!...

At first I thought she was way overpowered when I held her primary attack with the ball of bats on the dummies which did tons of damage repeatedly but on enemies the ball launches on it's own so it's not repeatedly. I'd give her a 4/5.

Her primary attack is pretty bad but it gives you bats, her secondary attack can be great if you have lots of bats ready, her third attack is pretty good with the bat screech being fast and the bite launching bats to use for her secondary attack. She seems to a middle 4/5, however High Five seems like a 3/5.

Thank Eon, that would have been OP...

Bat Batterment's ability to summon bats while in bat form (did I say "bat"?) also lets you boost them with a screech, and since they constantly follow you, you won't have to return to the regular form never again.

I just got Bat Spin in the mail the other day and haven't chosen a path for her yet. I am liking the uniqueness of what I see with the bat betterment path, but part of me feels staying out of bat form and spamming longer ranged attacks in her regular form will help her survive longer and kill quicker in nightmare mode against larger/stronger enemies. Any thoughts from those of you who have Bat Spin on her use in nightmare difficulty???
