With anything, people are going to have some "collect 'em all" feeling about it, especially if it's in relation to something they like.

Personally though, I only want ones for characters I really like or would use. These being Rosalina, Shulk, Mr. Game & Watch, ROB, and maybe Waluigi and Shy Guy if they're made.

I don't plan on going all in like I did with Skylanders. I learned my lesson with the way Activision handles pumping out figures for next to no content. However, I plan on getting characters I really like using from Smash Brothers. I've had my preferred favorites starting way back at the N64 version. So far I'm up to 8 with Toon Link, Link, Charizard, Lucario (if he isn't a pain in the nether region to locate) and Ness on my list of wants. Any others, I may get if I have lots of spare money and they happen to be there.

I heard most US Toys R Us stores are releasing Bowser, Toon Link, and Sheik today. Ugh... my mom still won't let me go, despite the fact that I've completed my school for the day... (woohoo, homeschooling ftw!) I hope those scalpers don't beat me to Toon Link! Ah, first world problems, amirite?

I plan to have a full smash and any pokemon/sonic collection. If I can fund it and it brings me joy, why not?

Called a Toysrus yesterday and they said they would have the wave 3 (Bowser, Sheik, and Toon Link) today. Went down there and there was nothing.

Also keep in mind that if you go to a Toysrus and you also see Lucario along all this, he cannot be sold until 1/30. Though you might be able to ask the employee to hold onto him for you.

Meanwhile Target had an ad for Rosalina and wave 3 coming out on 2/1. And Gamestop has a schedule for when their shipments should arrive, which can be seen here.

No info available for Best Buy, Walmart, or Amazon.

Found toon link and bowser!

Went in to Gamestop today to preorder a MH4U N3DSXL AGAIN after being cancelled, I asked about the Shulk amiibos. Some stores are receiving it this Sunday, and that the store I was at will receive it Tuesday, and will have enough for both preorders and walk-in customers. Also, apparently corporate will initiate a Limit 1 per Character starting with Shulk upon Manager approval at each store, so depending on stores, they may get a limit.

So on Monday I am going out to get new amiibo, In stock in the local store is Rosalina, Sheik, Ike and Lucario I plan on getting Rosalina, Ike and Lucario. It is low stock but no one around me buys them anyway so I should be getting them

And I'm sitting here waiting for my Sonic and Mega Man to ship.

Is Sonic store exclusive?

Interestingly enough one of the Toysrus managers I spoke to today said Sonic could possibly be showing up in shipments next week along with other amiibo. I don't think it'll end up happening, however.

And also Mega Man is listed to arrive at Toysrus on 2/13. Since Europe and Japan have Sonic and Mega Man showing up together on the same day, it seems more likely that Sonic would be released around this time period. It's also a week before Gamestop is supposed to receive them so it's rather likely.

Kinda debating using my 1st period off campus pass to go to the Walmart down the street and try to pick up Mega Man then...

^Keep in mind that Walmart doesn't have official dates for any of wave 3. They only info we have for sure as far as Mega Man is concerned is that Toysrus will get him 2/13, and Gamestop should get shipments for him around 2/20.

Be there for opening hours. Rosalina in most of Europe, has proven to be even harder to find than Villager and Little Mac were on their release. Even though Targets should get more of Rosalina than other figures, she's one of the most demanded figures, partly because of all of the drama surrounding it getting people interested in it.

We don't actually know if they will happen but it's likely since they seem to be doing most Smash Characters or as we've seen.

Nintendo implied that all Smash characters would be getting amiibo. This is further supported of the videos showing Duck Hunt and Mr. Game & Watch compatibility.

I doubt that K. Rool, Ghirahim, or the Doc will get an Amiibo, let alone a mass produced one.

They already have almost all of them announced. One or two more waves and we'll have all the characters.

If it makes you feel better, a Target employee posted on the subreddit saying they're expecting 28 Rosalinas in stock. Other employees have said numbers ranging around the 20 mark.

So just show up in time for opening and if your store is smart enough to have a purchase limit, you should be able to get her fine enough. Release date is on a Sunday so school shouldn't be an issue.

It's pretty much guaranteed that every Smash Bros character will get an amiibo. They've gone this far into the Smash roster. It would be a cop out to not make G&W, Greninja, Duck Hunt and the likes.

And the Super Mario line releasing in time with Mario Party 10 suggests that they will make figures for every playable Mario Party character. This would include Birdo, Waluigi, Toadette probably, and new figures for Rosalina and Bowser Jr.

Even if they stock up well, these things will still probably sell out in a day.

Probably just scalpels though, or hardcore fans of whatever character is out.
I'm not camping out in a Thursday night just to get Shulk, I'm going at opening.
