Unless they go on sale at like 4 or 5 am, these usually sell out within a minute or two. I have a stock alert set up for it, but it's always late by a few minutes and is sold out by the time I'm alerted. I know these will eventually be readily available for $5.99, so I can wait until that day comes

I got one on Thursday. They would only let you order 1 it appeared, so that is good. They still sell out quick though. Amazon only puts a handful up at a time.

The limit of one is a good thing...gives all collectors a chance to grab one. They did the same for the gold Flameslinger exclusive they had during the Giants era.

We found 3 this morning @ TRU this am in Michigan ! Just sitting on the peg ! Other shoppers picked them up then put them back on the peg. LOL

Finally picked one up at 7:30 AM ET this morning Amazon! Just woke up, grabbed some breakfast, refreshed amazon.. and boom!

It's just starting to become more common I guess. It was on sale and didn't get sold out for about 20 minutes this morning at 8 am on Amazon according to my price tracker. I missed the email, so I missed out again, but based on the recent Amazon releases, I feel it'll be easy to snag one soon.

If it weren't for the lower-than-scum scalpers, getting a Kaos Trap would never have been a problem. If you've sold a Kaos Trap for anything over MSRP, or you have bought one for anything over MSRP, YOU are the reason all these people are having a tough time getting one, and you should be totally ashmaed of yourself.

I got mine at Target when the Wave 3 traps came in. There were three on the shelf, and like I hope all other decent folks would do, I bought one and left the rest. And I'd do it again in a heartbeat. No eBay scalping money is worth the knowledge that you are a bottom feeding a-hole that ruins the fun for the serious collector or kid.

I opened this thread again hoping someone had spotted another restock so I could try to get one again as I kept missing it by minutes. Worthless post.

My kids out of skool, due to snow here in MICHIGAN. So, we decided to go to Toys R Us to pick up sum new amiibos. We witnessed a father and son purchase ALL the KAOS traps that just came in approx. 12 because it was 6 WAVE 2.5 Boxes. I was like damn. But he in turned around and gave about 3 or 4 of them to other kids including my son in the Skylander Section after purchasing them because they were buy one get 40 % off and he said he understands people are trying hard to find them. I thought that was KEWL AS HELL ! My kid got another kaos trap because he wouldn't take it back from him ! There are sum GENEROUS people out there ! The other parents were really Surprised and THANKFUL !!

The $55 you are seeing is a third party seller. Also, it is still available if you see more buying choices on the right, $5.99 sold by Amazon.

Just remain aware that as of this morning (when I got curious and looked a couple of hours ago) they're stating a 12-33 business day ship time. As they're specifically saying business days, that translates to a little more than 2 weeks up to a little more than 6 weeks for shipment. If I had to guess, I'd say that they're waiting to sell some of the other, regular traps to have an excuse to open the wave 2/2.5 boxes which have a couple of these in them. Hopefully any/all scalpers trying to jump in on this will have the fun of having to return their plunder due to wave 4/4.5 coming out before then and flooding the market with the Kaos trap, eliminating the ridiculous "value" we've been seeing.

Yes just saw it. I am so use to buy from Amazon with Prime that I never looked at the delivery dates.
At least my kids will get one.

I bought one too! Tbh I already have a Kaos trap my dad bought off eBay for $35, (his decision, not mine) but this way we can sell it back.

Prooooooobably not. By the time these things deliver, the restock of Wave 3 and Waves 4/4.5 should be out (each containing the standard Kaos trap in increased quantities), which will drive the cost of these things down once and for all. Hopefully. If you bought an item that might not even ship for 6 weeks as an investment for current price gouging, you're probably going to be disappointed.

Well, remember that day 1 Wave 1 boxes and Wave 2.5 boxes each had 2 Kaos traps in them, so unless you saw pegs and pegs of them, it was likely an older wave getting put out. I got Kaos Trap in a triple trap pack with the Air Sword and Earth Headstand on Amazon for RETAIL PRICE!!!!! (I was very surprised with the price) check now and it is starting to drop.

Not surprising. Activsion saw the scalpers make bank and now they want their take. Supply = demand, prices fall.

Supply is much greater than demand now. I saw 25+ Kaos traps at my local Best Buy (Central NJ) and a bunch more at TRU. Time to retire all the Kaos trap threads as finding them at retail really isn't news anymore.

To be honest, I think the "normal" customers have probably stopped looking, as I feel Activision left bank on the table from folks who refused to pay more than retail for it and the game is probably "old news" for most and so they've moved on from the game. Too early for me to say Kaos trap is "flooding" as I've yet to see him on the pegs, but I see it coming in the next 30 days for sure.

I'm pretty sure Kaos traps weren't in the assortment until wave 2.5. At game release, they sent out Kaos traps in their own case assortment. Then they disappeared until right before Christmas with 2.5. I really doubt it was an older wave, as they haven't been in stock since the beginning of the year. Although, what happened to all the wave 3 stock that never hit stores, I have no clue. It seems only wave 4 stuff is hitting store. It's possible wave 3 stuff is still sitting out there, but Activision decided to make getting wave 4 to stores a priority. But even if it is older waves, the Kaos trap is still hitting the stores. I saw two pegs full at my local TRU. They were limiting to one Kaos trap per person, so they lasted a little longer than they probably would have if they hadn't. I'm not saying they're flooding stores, yet but they will be soon, especially with several of the reports going around.

Well, then Target must have some sort of special deal with Activision, as I pulled two Kaos traps out of the only two launch day, Wave 1 trap cases that my Target had (I accidentally said 2 per above but saw 1 per case on day 1 out of Wave 1 then 2 EA out of Wave 2.5). I offered the second one to a mom and her son who were in the aisle with me and when they refused I bought both and gave it to my friend Matt who didn't (and couldn't) find one. (shrug) Please note that I said day 1 Wave 1 boxes, as in launch day only. Actvision specifically said that the Kaos trap would have "limited availability" at launch, so I'm betting that only the very first shipments (ie: day 1) versions of those boxes had the Kaos traps included.

TRU did end up with just a solid 24 packed case of Kaos traps at launch and their trap packs didn't appear to have any Kaos traps in them. I'm not sure if TRU's shipment had all of the Kaos traps pulled out and sorted into their own box or if Target's shipment was unique, but I got my two from Target on day 1, right out of the only two boxes of traps they had. (shrug)

just went to gamestop near me and they had a ton of the single pack of kaos traps so they're getting them in pretty easy now from the looks of it. also preordered the ness amiibo and watched gamestop's stuff crash for 2 hours
