I highly doubt there will be any reposes but why not talk about this topic maybe discuss reposes for skylander 5

There have been a lot (and I mean a LOT) of topics about reposes.

Also, don't expect everyone to post in your topic as soon as you create it.

Maybe they should try Nintendo's card idea for reposes.

A repose of Scratch would probably do well, and Wind-Up would look good with upgrades.

Reposes don't exist to me. The ones I bought in order to be figure complete haven't been touched short of registering them on the portal for the elemental boost.

I don't want to hold Activision back if they want to release reposes. After being vocal to resisting reposes but not backing up my talk with actions, I'm willing to change my ways. I really don't care if they decide to release Series 20 figures or release 90% reposes in the next game. I just won't be part of that ecosystem.

Well, sometimes we probably all "had" to pick up reposes.

SWAP Force's Starter Packs are an example, and so is the Trap Team's 3DS one.

I only bought S3 Terrafin and S2 Camo, because they came with regular Grim Creeper and regular Bumble Blast.

Well obviously if I'm forced to get one with the starter pack that's one thing. I was referring to voluntary purchases.

Sunburn, Boomer, Whamshell, Ghost Roaster, Warnado, Voodood, and Dino-Rang should be the only ones considered for a repose/s2 at this time. Don't care about the order they are made, but there should not be any others until these are done. Just my sense on things.

I would prefer there not be any reposes for release 5, simply because I don't want to be tempted to buy them. Agree with Ghostroaster in that I have no reason to buy them other then completion-ism since they will never be played. Unfortunately, they still managed to get my money on 3 of the 5 current reposes.


Really though, the game is rarely played anymore. It's much much less about the game then it is about collecting with my kids, and the law of diminishing returns is kicking in. If I participate it S5, it's going to purely for collection purposes.

I dont mind reposes, but I would prefer they not go past S2. I really dont need 20 gill grunts... no one does.
Having a S2 would allow path switching and a wow pow thus giving incentive to get a repose, anything above S2 is pointless

What about characters like Fright Rider and Flashwing?

Fright Rider and Flashwing are a year "younger". Not that they can't be done, just after the remaining ssa are s2ed. It is far past time to show these last 7 some love.

My suggestion is that if a character interests you, or even gets you excited, you should probably give him/her a try.
Listening to other opinons is a great idea, but you should really give him a chance to shine.

He's personally one of my favorites, gameplay and design wise, from SWAP Force.
He has some really cool and unique attacks, and has a particular move that makes him almost invincible.

According to a lot of persons, Lob-Star is weak, slow and not fun to play as.
I couldn't disagree more.

Not to mention, they might be easier to find too. I think I remember S1 Fryno was harder to find, considering there wasn't many of him in each shipment box. He was one of the characters on my "want list" in SF, and I could not find him anywhere I went. The S2 Fryno seems more plentiful and easier to find, especially since it was released in one of the first waves.

Definitely agree with Dube Bug , really a worthwhile character . His upgrade paths are both equally useable. Being able to roll small to midsize enemies off the edge of platforms is awesome . Even stops spinning Cyclopes in motion.

I only collect first edition characters, no colour variants, no light core , no series 2etc. I could'nt even justify getting eons elite, mainly coz they aren't essential for story mode and if good multiplayer does come in, they'll obviously section them out into their own tournament or scale their powers down anyway.


I think they are very aware reposes aren't that popular. I think that's why they introduced a different type of repose(minis) properly this time instead of all the normal reposes to try and see if they could sell old stuff by making it cuter. Let's face it, minis are just reposes the only thing different is a small sprite, except they are worse then normal reposes coz they don't even have a pow wow or anything.

I actually would've loved to see minis introduced as new unique characters, like fairies or something.


I' m all for keeping old characters like spyro in the game but I think it needs to be done by character quests . Like the villain quests but for skylanders,

Tech - Spy Rise and Gearshift
Earth - Rubble Rouser and Wallop
Air - Free Ranger and Gusto
Fire - Blast Zone and Wildfire
Water - Thumpback, Wash Buckler and Snap Shot
Life - Tree Rex, Stink Bomb and Tuff Luck
Undead - Eye-Brawl, Night Shift and Krypt King
Light - Knight Light
Dark - Knight Mare

If they repose Giants, or Swappers, which I don't want them to, they should repose everyone, or at least one of each element, to keep everything balanced, Trap Team is already messing with my organization..

Where I live reposes don't sell. When the swap force branded figures were cleared out reposes where the last to go and even now I still see a few turbo jet vacs around.

I'm glad people are on the same boat with me about the Gill Grunts!
Unlike I think most who have posted on here I don't really have a problem with the reposes but I think a series 3 is the limit. IF ANYONE should get more it probably should be Spyro since people still want him to be the face of Skylanders.
But when it comes to the reposes I have a big problem with the Gill Grunts and I was so annoyed with Trap team with him getting another repose, a mini and a elite.
I think Gill Grunt is a great choice for a water Skylander I don't use him but he's still a great choice. But no one with maybe the exception of Spyro should be given more then a series 3 repose.
