They're still not discontinued. Samus is still fairly easy to find here. And while Fox is getting more difficult, he shows up every now and then.

I'm glad to have just gotten my Fox on launch so I didn't have to worry about this.

I'm really hoping to find Samus and Captain Falcon pretty soon, their Mario Kart 8 costumes are must haves for me.

I saw mewtwo and was convinced until I saw Lucas. I call fake. Mewtwo is still in heavy development, and he is confirmed the only DLC character.

On closer analysis Lucas looks fake...therefore crushing my hopes for snake DLC...

That is fake. Was proven long ago.

I agree. I really like most of the poses they gave characters in Smash Bros and it's cool to see them replicated in figure form. Yeah the stands are kinda iffy (especially Link's), but I still prefer it over the rather generic poses the Super Mario line has.

The Super Mario line also looks a lot like the toy figures you can find in Target or Toysrus, except with no articulation now. I will get the inevitable Rosalina one only if I can't find her Smash figure at all.

I believe the Super Mario ones are based on some of the more generic concept art that's been used for recent Mario titles. Bowser's in particular I remember seeing a lot on Nintendo's website for different Mario games. <.<;

Samus will show up soon enough. Falcon will be harder.

And I think we can safely assume that those will not be the only figures in the Super Mario line. I imagine they'll be making figures for all the characters in Mario Party 10, which guarantees Waluigi.

They would have to go through a lot of trouble to get the rights for Snake in Smash 4. It's very unlikely he'll ever be back in Smash, especially since Metal Gear barely ever had a presence on Nintendo (and now doesn't even bother with them).

And someone else noticed that the pose for Bowser on the amiibo is the exact same for him in the Super Mario chess set.

That just makes the line unappealing to me. I'd rather stick with the Smash Bowser if I ever thought to get him.

So my Bowser and Shiek preorders were moved from a 2/1 date to 2/6. Oddly enough, I haven't gotten an email yet about my Toon Link one, so hopefully everything is alright with that one.

Also, anyone who ordered from B&H, if your order status is now "On order", is that a good thing? I just want to make sure because, of the things on the list that I ordered from them that said they'd get more on 2/1 was the Villager.

No Amiibos have been discontinued yet. Nintendo's supply isn't really meeting the demand as they poorly tried to predict who would be popular. Then scalpers are just making things worse, leaving a number of figures impossible to find.

Fox isn't exactly one of those, but his availability still isn't too high. Some stores are discontinuing certain characters in their systems (but the figure isn't truly discontinued). It's just that the figure isn't getting as much production as others and they seem unable to order said figure likely thanks to Nintendo's insufficient supply.
