I got a new update today - the version number changed and I got the icons marking new skylanders and items in the store. But I didn't get any new quests, items, skylanders, or even daily specials. Did anyone else get new stuff?

I have had the same thing happen to me. I was excited for a minute thinking there must be something new, but no, nothing new.

Did you go back to the future to see if something is programed in for a later date?

I wondering what that was all about.

My guess is that it bug fixes. A lot of people have been posting about issues with losing game content and being told they need to update when there is nothing to update to and stuff like that. Even if they're going on hiatus, they'd still want to fix things that create more support work.

I've noticed that since the update, some of my friends list entries no longer show a kudos count and are not visitable.

I wouldn't be surprised if those games are corrupted and it's their way of preventing the corruption from spreading. ppl have lost their games because of visiting a bad game. I lost my original game because of visiting

Any time someone is on a different version than you their kingdom will be unvisitable - chances are those friends haven't got the update yet.

New features comes with new updates. But the new features are programmed in advance, so maybeyou like to time travel a few days (next tuesday might be a good try) and then you can see, what the new features are.

PS: At least today there are 2 new special offers.

I hope this is NOT the company's end game for Lost Island.

Their way of leaving something for people that are still playing or new people. They added the new items from Trap Team and the Light / Dark items but then nothing else. These 2 listed items that are random is a way to finish up development for the game but still leave some progressive play behind. Doesn't is seem strange that gems pack sales with or without bonuses are not being offered at all.

I stated in another post that Activision's website does NOT list Skylanders Lost Island on their IOS or Android list of games for a while now. The only games now listed are Trap Team, Cloud Patrol, Battle Grounds.
You would think the game would be listed there somewhere.

After last year's hiatus, I feel more confident that they will come back at some point this year, especially because they left the light and dark elements undone.

In other news, I haven't seen a villain in more than 3 weeks!

I agree that they'll be back. Both because of history and because of the light/dark.

I'm getting villains, but no traptanium! Down to one and two traps of each type.

I don't get a lot of those either (but I'm still getting some). I'm "up to" three and four traps of each type (which I consider a lot).

It's Vicarious Visions' game, they probably slowed down development because they're working on the main game this year. And since they have already a history of favoring everything they created themselves, they'll probably get right back to Lost Islands with more content, especially for SKL5.

This definitely isn't the end for Lost Islands, and I was hoping we wouldn't get a bunch of posts/threads about it after last year's hiatus made us all realize it was going to be a yearly thing. When they'll come back is the question. They were on hiatus for a few months, last year, but since they added an alter ego (and I would assume the entire wishing well/alter ego system) in February of the year before, maybe it's possible they won't be gone as long as last year.

I don't think that's true. There was a gem pack offered right before New Year with wish stones. Granted we has a wishing weekend then, but it's still a good sign

there appear to be many promos offered with the last update.
I bought a windmill and only have about 1000 gems and may just miss out on Rufus (and that VALENTINE house) but they don't say how long his sale is going to last!
