It was very much overplayed. The ebola virus could not be as much of an epidemic here, unless it struck a very rural, isolated area (which thankfully, in America, are not densely populated).

Fun fact: In 7th grade, I found out about ebola through random Internet surfing of diseases (don't judge me), and when I told all my classmates about it, they thought it didn't exist and that I was falling for some fake horror story.

@Metallo: Actually, when I told my parents and grandparents I was working with E.coli in lab this past year, they mistook it for ebola. XP
