Seriously, will anyone on now be on in the next 10 years? This is a very important question and I need to know. Also, all that are leaving, like you zer0duch, please come back. Life isnt the same without all you great people.

As long as the friends I've come to know and love are still on here, I will stay.

For the sake of making this post matter or this argument matter at all, allow us to assume that dS will be here for another ten years. In 10 years I will be in my early 30s and assuming that I most probably will not change as a human-being and a person at all, it is highly likely that I lurk around here at least and post some nonsense once in a while. It depends.

I think that the biggest challenge of time at hand in this scenario is the likeness of growing too old etc. And by that I mean if my interests etc. change radically in that time, it is highly likely that I do not find that many topics to be interesting and “worthwhile” of my own time investment. So the direction of my maturing process is crucial from my own personal standpoint.

Of course the other challenge being in that time is the user base and how it changes as well. This site’s spectrum of users has always been dependent of video game franchise. First it was Spyro and now it is Skylanders and the way these two video game entities remain in the public eye and in public consumption determines the popularity and therefore the “user currents” which feed the human resources of darkSpyro. If those video game franchises manage to adapt to upcoming market environments of following ten years there is no particular reason for this site to close etc. Therefore the user base would refresh once in a while bringing in new people and keeping conversation new and quite interesting in which situation I would like to be around here.

Or course if the main video game reasons fail and number of actively posting users begins to decline, it can be different story. But in this scenario given that this site is still available to us, I still would stay. Even though new users bring winds of changes and new ideas, having familiar faces and seeing how they do in their own respective lives is quite a perpetual source for interesting discussions etc.

So all in all, I think that I most likely will be here after 10 years of time. It all just depends on my own personal approach to my life and being a man with quite boring, zero-ambition goals in my life, the things probably will remain the same for me and I then see no reason not to visit here once in a while.

I'll be here until I'm the only one and it'll be like the last scene of Fresh Prince and I'll just turn out the lights and leave.

To be truthful, I just don't know.

No. Of course not. Assuming all goes as planned, I'll be nearing the end of my residency so I wouldn't have the time, energy, or desire to keep coming on here. I don't even expect the Skylanders franchise to last the next decade. >.>

Well if it's still around (likely and skylanders would possibly on it's 14th game) then maybe. I would be 27 at the time and more then likely living with my girlfriend. (aka wife in the future scenario) So I may not spend as much time here but likely a good amount of time. Seeing as we will likely be playing video games, going to work, and other stuff.

Hopefully not.

I just do dumb things on impulse. If I get into a disagreement with someone through PM I immediately think "aw **** this I'm outta here", but then when I have time to calm down I think "damn that was stupid of me, or the problem's resolved.
