Man, I sure hope it won't be a disappointment. I've been wanting to see a new Godzilla game for quite a while since the abomination that is Godzilla: Unleashed.

This game is getting a release outside of Japan next year, unless you simply can't wait. In which case, all you'd need to do is just import the game's Japanese version itself. It will work on any PS3, unless Sony decided to be ninjas and region lock their consoles when they thought no one was looking.

Actually incorrect for PS3. This isn't the case on all systems, but only affects PS3. On the spine of the games, it'll have a Globe Icon, with either a 1, 2, 3, or an All. If it says All, it can be used on all region systems, while 1 is only usable in the Americas, 2 in PAL regions, and 3 in Asian territory.

its only dlc that is region locked not the games on the ps3...

I've been told all the time that PS3 games aren't region locked, and that Nintendo is the only one that still does that for physical titles. I've seen the regions in the spine and I've been curious in the past, but I frankly haven't imported any games to try out for certain.

All I know is that Vita isn't region locked, which is a really good thing since many physical Vita titles don't come to NA and have to be imported from Japan or sometimes even Europe (e.g. a physical cartridge copy of Minecraft).

Oh my god... YES.. This is epic!
I love the Godzilla brawl games, Godzilla Save the Earth and Godzilla Unleashed were like, staples to fun Friday nights with my best friends. I can't wait for this game, I hope it comes out on Xbox... 3:

My older brother has an American PS3 that hasn't been moded or anything, and he has played games with the other numbers on the side where the the globe is and they work just fine.

He has a **** ton of region 3 games that work perfectly fine on his PS3, so clearly you haven't been doing your research correctly.


Are you an asshole? Because clearly you seem to have been acting like one recently. I'm just going by what i've seen from MY PS3, as it only runs Region 1 and All discs.

(p.s. my brothers friends dads uncles dog works for sony and will ban u on psn!!!!!!!!!)

eherm back on topic....

This is awesome, i remember saying i wanted a new Godzilla game after the last movie released. Hope it turns out well. I will never forget "Destroy All Monsters Melee" on the gamecube. Ah good times

Also after the trailer it linked me to the new DBZ game coming out o.O that looks awesome as well

The game looks cool o.O i have a concern with the camera. Do you control the angle? Cause any time it shows godzilla from the back its hard to see anything past him which would make fighting difficult....

I mean the game looks cool, but it seems like he's defeating opponents too easily.....Either that or it's just an extremely good player.......Or 2014 Godzilla is op.....

Pretty sure Godzilla 2014 is just OP. He's an unlockable character, I think.

And also the final boss, I think? You can defeat him easily as Burning Godzilla from what I've seen, though.

Why would he be the final boss? Is there any kind of plot or is it just a brawler game?



Also from what I've seen, the only playable monster is Godzilla himself, albeit with the different versions of him. Still not really exciting.....

I'm pretty sure there is a small plot to the game (Destruction Mode, I believe), but right now I don't exactly remember the details. It was an excuse plot, anyway, IIRC.

And from my understanding, Godzilla 2014 is a 'secret' final boss that you need to unlock. Meet the requirements and he'll appear.

I did watch a video of the final boss and it does look like the human characters acknowledge Godzilla 2014's presence but I don't speak Japanese and haven't yet seen anyone explain what they're saying.
