Do you think dark52 makes any money off of the site? I know he must have saved a ton by designing it himself instead of hiring a professional webmaster, but I wonder if he profits directly from it.

From the ads most likely. Though I do feel kinda bad since I use adblock..

Yes, but probably not quite enough to live off of alone. So he probably has a real life job with it.

I did ask on his guestbook if he has another IRL job or makes money from his websites (because dS isn't his only website, it's just his largest one). Unsurprisingly, he didn't reply.
