Need to keep old portals? [CLOSED]

Hi there!

I own currently the PS3 portals for SSA and Giants.
I also own the PS4 portals for Swap Force and Trap Team.

After a little experiement, I was amazed to find out that the trap team portal works for giants (and Im assuming SSA and Swap Force too).

So my question is this: Do i need to keep my old portals? Or can I just use my shiny new trap team portal.

You can use your TT portal with any of the previous games. I hold on to mine in case of dog attack or some other catastrophe.

A tad late now but older portals make great XMas tree decorations.

I have three; the SA portal, SF portal, and TT portal.

I'm thinking about getting rid of my old portals somehow, maybe selling them off somewhere, like eBay. Does GameStop let you trade in portals? I know they did for the first week of Trap Team, but not sure if that was just a limited time thing.

Keep them and use them when you play SSA or Giants . I dont know the life expectancy of these portals but you dont want to have your TT portal burn out on you because you use it for everything .

We had a few portals lying around. One for each game plus an extra Giants portal. We used them to setup a display in my son's room, but traded in one of the Giants portals when thry did a trade-in for Punch Pop Fizz. Every once in a while, they've offered deals like that. It's usually $10 off a starter pack, but they did do the free Punch Pop Fizz the last trade-in special. So who knows what they may do next time, if there is one. If they offer some free figure next time, I'm not sure what we'll do. I like keeping one of each just for our collection. Though I've seen used ones for a few dollars at stores that sell them. Depending on what the figure is, I might be able to buy a used one to trade in.

I purchased a used portal for $2.99 that I traded in for my free Punch Pop Fizz. Can't get rid of any of my babies. :D

That's the exact same reason I still have so many duplicates. So easy to grow attached to them. My SSA PC portal, which I can't even use due to me not having the PC version is still in my house. It was my first portal, and for some reason that gives it special treatment.

You can use the trap team portal with giants and spyros adventure... not sure about swapforce....

Btw my local gamestore wouldn't even accept mine smilie
