Just saw the movie.

It's a smelly pile of crap, all the way through.

I knew there'd be singing, but does every sentence have to be a musical?

It becomes plain nonsensical and just drags on, and on, and on near the end.

It's like trying to fit a circular puzzle peg into square puzzle peg.

My recommendation, stay out of the woods.

Never even heard of this movie but if it's a musical movie like les miserables where no one knows what they're saying I'm sure it did indeed suck

Okay, so Into the Woods was originally a musical. It was great, but just making a movie about it sounds a bit insane.

^Not all musicals are strictly singing, though. A lot of them have normal talking in between songs, which is what I think MoonHorizons was expecting, or at least hoping for.

A musical with just songs and no normal dialogue is basically an opera.

This.

Literally almost every sentence and conversation in the movie was a song, and it felt forced.

There was only 5 minutes or so of regular talking between songs.

Most musicals I've seen usuaully have a good 15 minutes between songs.

It might be because the writing in this movie was bad and the songs in this movie sound mediocre and seem soulless.
