With no puns intended, am I the only one who is having this holiday? Wave 3 is always the most hyped wave in every single game.

SSA had Cynder, Double Trouble, Whirlwind and Drill Sergeant normal releases and Sunburn
SG had Eye Brawl, Thumpback, Hot Dog and some of the better reposes
SSF had Spy Rise, Rubble Rouser, Stink Bomb, Dune Bug and Wind Up
and now thios wave with , , , , and even and

So what are your thoughts about this running trend? Then the wave becomes forgotten as we just wait for the last two waves, but are never as big a deal as wave 3.

Wave 3 in SSA was exciting because Spyro fans were very excited to finally get Cynder. With Giants those were the three people wanted the absolute most, Thumpback alone was at the top of almost everyone's list. And with Swap Force, people were excited to finally get a Sneak swapper and an Earth swapper so they could get to locked away areas. For this game obviously we finally got a Magic trapper and the release of the two new elements.

I think Wave 3 is always a hit because it contains some of the most interesting content people really want. Wave 4 & 5 are usually just people filling in the holes and Wave 1 & 2 always come so close together they are overshadowed by the release of the game itself.

Thanks for the good observation and thoughts my friend. The reason I asked this was because it's always sad to see how the most anticipated of the cast just become afterthoughts to people. For this list:

SSA had , and . Even suffered from this too and he was possibly more anticipated than Camo.
SG had simply since she was what was left for new characters.
SSF suffered the hardest with , , and
Now STT may have the same effect now with , , and dare I think even may end with the same outcome.

This actually is a well planned business strategy. Think about it, Activision is smart, I'm sure they watch who wants what the most and bases wave 3 on that. The fact that wave 3 comes out before christmas is no fluke, release a group of very hyped characters right before the biggest shopping holiday of the year and sales will sky rocket from parents adding additional presents for their kids.

Well, dunno if it's the planning or execution but as usual they certainly aren't accomplishing getting it even nearly everywhere in time for the biggest shopping holiday of the year Here I think I've seen Ka-Boom, Tuff Luck and Trail Blazer now, but for example no sightings whatsoever of the Dark and Light packs in the entire darn country (as far as webshops and local shops go).

Australia is still waiting for Wave 2 cores and MoM.

Well yeah that is true. When I mean wave 3 is out I was just simply saying it's out in some shape or form at the moment. It's like when someone says a movie or even a game is out even though it hasn't come to another country yet. Nothing personal I am just simply putting as out in general, not entirely or worldwide.

There were tons released around here, my TRU had 30+ of each
