I didn't think you honestly meant that, I'm pointing out that the way you said it IMPLIED it. My point is that you're trying to use a Christian-oriented philosophy to defend one of your convictions, but your vulgar vocabulary and general unpleasant attitude heavily contradict your Christian words. It's just not making sense. If you want people to take you seriously as a Christian, then act like one.

zer0dch, my point is that you can't use the Christian argument because you NEVER act like one. Every other word you say is a swear, you talk about girls as if they're sex toys (regardless of whether you really mean it or not, you still say it that way), and you're just unfriendly overall to most users.

I implied I wanted to use her for sex? Are you stupid? Out of my whole post literally only one line of it was about her butt. The rest of it was about how I was crushing on her because she was cute and I liked her and how we were flirting (not sexually).

You're literally switching things up each post and I can't take you seriously. The fact that you went ahead and told me that the God I believe in would be unhappy and avoided the argument already made me ignore whatever claims you had stated --also because they were unjustified and made no sense.

As for acting like a Christian...really? That could be said for anyone. There are multiple queer/bi Christians, abusers, violent, and vulgar Christians. Its definitely not a good thing and I am not standing for it, but telling me to act like a Christian is as if you were to tell other Christians to stop their quirks or other fantasies or whatever they do that may trigger someone as "they aren't a true christian".

Could you elaborate on that? Because it took him three or four posts to get to his point, starting off of a wrong claim.

You haven't contributed nothing but "looks like zer0dch is trying to pick up an argument" and agreeing with one side. I would love to hear what else you could contribute to the thread. Can you explain why he's right? I totally understand his claim in ignorant Christians, but attacking a Christian because they don't believe in gay marriage based on their religious views is wrong.

No matter what anyone tells you, God loves you and thinks that you're beautiful and perfect just as you are.
Now, this letter isn't to preach or anything. I have no interest in preaching to you guys; ESPECIALLY because I understand that some of you might be jaded by pastors/preachers and the church for what they've done or said to you. My intention here is to let you know that, no matter what ANYONE says to you, if it doesn't line up with this verse, it's not true:
"Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." - 1 John 4:8
So if anyone ever tells you something hateful, or that God hates you, or anything like that, it's 100% not of God and who He is and it is NOT true. God is love. So if they preach that God hates something or someone, just take solace in the fact that that person doesn't know who God really is.
So, to come to a conclusion, I just wanted to express appreciation for you guys and the strength and courage it takes to face people and persecution like this. It's really admirable how you all can still be positive and proud of who you are despite what some jerks with paper signs say about your lifestyles. I really look up to you guys for that.
I sincerely hope and pray that you guys don't have to come into contact with hateful "Christians" anymore, and that anytime you meet a Christian person, they only leave you feeling appreciated and like any other human being.

He is not attacking you he is explaining that your vulgar, crude, and sexual language don't seem to match that of a Christian. You seem to love to pick fights in topics with irrelevant posts. There is not much I can contribute because Metallo has said it all. You cannot take criticism from what i have seen without blowing up. Once again, because I use foul language I don't meet the requirements or match as a Christian? What about the Christian's who commit violence and abuse others, or use substances or perform queer sexual acts? Are all of those people not matching of a Christian either?

Trust me, I can take criticism. Although when someone attacks you with false claims and makes you look like the fool, then that person has a right to be angry. Being asked to be forgiven doesn't have much relevance right now when people are attacking something I religiously believe in. I may come off as an ass but that's only because people like Metallio are going to make false claims about me and make myself look stupid. What reaction should I have when someone claims something as fallacious as "I'm in it for the sex" when I absolutely was far more interested in the girl? As for the topic regarding the hacker groups, taking millions of peoples enterainmsng and activity for the hacker group to feel elite and prestigious is awful and deserve the punishment they deserve.

Christians I feel get some undeserved flack for saying things, but can you say that really outspoken Christians have tainted the whole religion as a whole. For example, Pat Robertson once said that "gays will die off because they can't reproduce" (http://www.rawstory.com/rs/201...dont-reproduce/), or that gays spread HIV/AIDS through special "rings" (http://www.rightwingwatch.org/...e-special-rings) or that people with gay sons can love them as long as they turn them "ex-gay" (http://thinkprogress.org/lgbt/...erapy-upon-him/). I feel like (and I'm guilty of this as well) people give Christians flack because extremists say the most dumbest things ever.

I dunno. I'm agnostic borderlining on athiest, and I guess I've heard more Christian pundits say the dumbest ****ing things compared to atheist pundits.

Right. And as if you're any different? Its pretty normal around a group of friends to curse. I didn't tell the girl directly that her butt was nice, where is the problem? Don't you have friends who talk about girls who are hot? Its pretty normal, as long as you don't tell the girl up front unless you are in a committed relationship with them.

Vocabulary is a pretty important part of any argument though. If he avoided an argument by pointing out grammatical errors, then yeah, I'd be inclined to agree. Yet he didn't. Your choice of vocabulary is how you communicate your point to people because we cannot read your mind, so yeah, it's pretty important to choose the correct vocabulary to illustrate your point. Using poorly-chosen vocabulary causes misunderstandings and misinterpretations... Don't want that, do we?
Just saying, if you want to tell everyone something along the lines of "I have this great new girlfriend, she's so sweet, and cute too" but instead type out "yeah I got this hot new girlfriend with a huge bust that I want to grope all night long" then you're going to be open to some questionable responses when all you had to do was change your vocabulary to be a bit less vulgar and a bit more clear! zer0dch, the problem isn't with Metallo's claims being "weak." It's about the fact that you say you're a Christian yet you're one of the rudest users on the website.

Think about it: you're hoping for self harm on other people, you talk about how people "deserve" an obscure, extreme punishment over some hacking claims, you talked about some girl in a sexual way(though I agree with you that those kind of statements are often said, it doesn't mean it's right to say them), and you're calling users in this topic weak and fallacious. Not to mention you've been an ass to a handful of users on this forum. Can you really face Jesus when you die and say "Oh yeah, they had all that hate coming and deserve it"?

I've said this before in some previous topics, as i'm a very dedicated Christian, and i'll say it again: Christianity is all about love. It's about being nice to others, regardless of their beliefs. It's about not wanting others to suffer and wanting to help and save them. It's about doing what Jesus once did when he walked this earth, who was a man that just wanted to help people and teach them the ways of God, and promote love and acceptance of other people. No matter what religion you are, it's common knowledge that Christianity's main focus is(or at least should be) about showing kindness to people you meet.

What you're doing is hypocritical. On one hand, you say you believe being homosexual is a sin because you believe the Bible says so, but on the other hand, you spent the whole topic talking about how weak everyone's arguments were instead of writing honest responses. Sure, maybe everyone could have put it more lightly, but they're acting this way because you can't look at the arguments they're throwing at you. you're just continuously saying how irrelevant and stupid their claims are. As what i just typed above, Christianity is about love, and from what i've seen, you haven't exactly been the kindest person on the website.

I'm not telling you what you should or shouldn't believe. Hell, if you really believe homosexuality is a sin, fine(though i personally disagree). What we're saying is that it's really ironic that you say this yet your behavior is far from being that of a Christian label.

We manage to wind up having this discussion every so often and it's always the same. And by the end of it everyone seems to have the same opinions that they had when the discussion first started. Tbh I don't even see the point anymore.
Although about half of this topic seems to be more of a "criticize zer0dch" discussion rather than a gay marriage debate.

No, its really not. Its people getting pissed off that I don't believe in it, start making false accusations, and then that starts the back and forth fighting.

People shouldn't try and sway me away from my beliefs. They're free to ask about it, but trying to change my opinion based on my beliefs in another thing. What a lot of people don't seem to realize is that there was a bandwagon of hatred that jumped on me because I said I don't approve of gay marriage. Either ask me about it or ignore it. Don't try and change my views on it, because that's harassment.

The main problem isn't that your against gay marriage, it's how you go about saying it and how you act in general on the site.
No one, and I repeat no one, gives a flying **** what you believe, it's how you behave that's got everyone so riled up.
