This is pretty ****ing scary but the group Anonymous has hacked many websites to get passwords and credit card information. Read this for more information.

--Regarding the lizard squad...why the **** would they take down the PSN/XBL on Christmas? I feel bad for the kids who got one for Christmas and can't play a game because they have to go through software patches.

Anonymous has little to gain from stealing personal information. It's not their goal to do get money.

The people are claiming to be a part of Anonymous I can claim that too. People in Lizard Squad can easily say they're part of Anonymous. This is dangerous yes but part of the problem with Anonymous is that anyone can claim to be a part of it and throw the entire concept under the bus.

    Some kid(kids?) DDoS online networks. PSN and Xbox Live has been getting bug by him(them?) for a while now.
    People are pretty annoyed how often it has been happening now.

    LizardSquad is apparently a hacker group based in Russia according to my local newspaper, the PSN/XBOX Live hack made front-page! My brother has been a jerk about it saying they aren't attacking Nintendo because nobody plays Nintendo! He's such a Sony fanboy!
