I've seen this somewhere before but I can't find it. I bought all the elite figures and some have the gamestop stickers on them what is the best way to remove without leaving the glue or messing them up?? Thanks in advance.

I use a blow dryer to heat up the stickers, then slowly peel. They almost always come one piece.

For more stubborn or older stickers, I just leave the blow dryer on them a bit longer.

I always use alternating treatments of Goo Gone and rubbing alcohol. It works on any kind of plastic, but I've never tried it on something the more cardboard-y material that the Elite figures are in, so if you use this method, be careful.

^This. Hairdryer works wonderfully. Get it nice and warm, start to peel up a corner, continue to heat it a little and slowly peel.

I hafta say that the Oz equivalent, EB Games, uses price stickers that come off with ease.

Fortunately, I've been able to remove the GS stickers from the Elites without any issue. Although, YMMV.

I've had luck with a razor blade, work it from one corner until its about a third to a quarter off, then switch sides.

Anything Gamestop sells is made of hatred. Kinda like how they magically have inventory of the Wii U Gamecube adapters for a $200 bundle, but none to sell at retail of $20!!!! Gotta get their fix from rare items! Despicable how a large retailer can get away with "scalping" on hot items like that.

Hairdryer, Goo Gone. A little tip to give you guys an idea on how easy a sticker is going to be to get off. The date is on the label. You'll see a series of numbers for the sku, and a number that contains the date. (Example: 122614) The newer the stickers are, the easier they are going to be to get off. It seems like a month is the sweet spot. Anything longer than that usually makes it a bear to get off.

Has anyone actually done the hair dryer and Goo Gone trick on an Eon's Elite figure yet, though? I managed to get all of mine sans stickers (thank goodness), but realized what a headache those could cause due to the special ink/printing used on the outer collector's boxes. I've seen quite a few boxes and cardbacks with similar ink/printing which have lost one or more layers when a sticker was peeled away or when a solvent (no matter how gentle) was used to remove the adhesive left after a successful sticker removal. I'd test any solvent one was thinking of using on the bottom of the box first to make sure you're not going to permanently damage any part of the box that will be left visible when on display.

What shocks me is that all of mine, so far, have come in sealed bags so even if an offending sticker were to plague me, it would be on the plastic baggie, not the actual box.

I can't grok why they would go to extra effort to make a commodity less protected and remove the bag? I can see that they may perceive that it makes the presentation of it "ugly" but these are primarily for collectors who are used to bagged items, etc...

If you only knew what to do?
I will tell you put a few drops of zippo lighter fluid on sticker move it around to cover sticker wait 3 minutes peel sticker slowly from corner it will come right off put a few drops on a clean washcloth and wipe the sticker residue off you are done good as new. I do this with all of my figures and it works like a charm. Good luck....

On all my elites that have had stickers I've just grabbed some tweezers and pulled upwards diagonally slowly from a bottom corner. All came off real easy no residue

It's funny...threads come up often about how devious GameStop is with their scalping methods, but so many people here look the other way and continue to shop there. I refuse to spend a dime there unless they have a reasonably priced exclusive I can't get anywhere else (I've opted not to chase the overpriced Eon's Elite line). Across the board, there are complaints about higher prices, lack of sales, reluctance to accept coupons, and absolutely abysmal customer service ratings (Google GameStop customer service ratings)...yet why people continue to shop there is beyond me. Their Skylanders club requires a paid Powerup Pro membership & there have been multiple reports on these forums of how much of a pain it is with people not receiving their free figure when expected. While other retailers give you a chance at miraculously finding a Skylanders chase variant on their pegs, GameStop opens up the boxes and removes them prior to shipping to stores so that they can expensively bundle them to move other products. And to top it off, they have the gall to use the word "rare" in their overpriced listings...that's not what legitimate retailers do...it's what scalpers do. When is the last time you saw the word "rare" in the listing for a product at Amazon, Walmart, Target, TRU, or Best Buy??? GameStop will eventually fold as a result of their poor business model and lack of competitive pricing, but you guys who look the other way and continue to shop there despite their deceptive practices are keeping them afloat in the meantime.

Okay, just picked up a 360 Kinect bundle for my nieces and nephew. Hair dryer method before and after.

Before:
[User Posted Image]

After, still a bit of reside left over. A bit of WD-40 on a paper towel....
[User Posted Image]

Final: Wiped and all clear! Total time, less than 5 minutes.
[User Posted Image]

This is basically what I do to remove all stickers, price tags, etc. I usually use tweezers or a hobby knife to get under the sticker to avoid denting the box, but I just peeled off these ones.

Thanks for all the tips but I did end up using the lighter fluid method and it worked great.

When I worked at Electronics Boutique back in college, we used the heat gun that was for shrink wrapping to get them off. It's just a hotter hairdryer but you don't need the extra heat.

Lighter fluid works fine, but your best bet for the sticky residue is Goo Gone. Get it at Lowe's or Home Depot. It usually comes in a smallish bottle in cleaning products. It's better than lighter fluid because it doesn't smell bad - it smells like citrus instead. Works like a charm for stubborn residue. We keep a bottle of it around the house for various uses.

gamestop price stickers are the worst ever. if they have been on for a while its hell to get it of. i have just started asking for a new sticker free case/box or ask if i can change the case/box to one with new sticker on, that is easy to remove

The above staatements sum up my feelings and exp with gamestop stickers, however i did get a elite stealth elf and whirlwind the other day wrapped in a bag, I might just see if that store has others like that instead of pos screwing these up.

I am going to preface this with acknowledgement that this post is somewhat off-topic wrt S/Landers, but I found it interesting in terms of GS' ethics, or lack thereof:
