That is surprising to me. Yesterday I was at Meijer, Best Buy, Walmart, and K-Mart looking for something and I stopped by their Skylanders sections. You could have counted the combined Skylanders at the four stores on your fingers and toes. I was thinking to myself that those four stores had pretty much given up on Skylanders (actually, the thought crossed my mind that K-Mart had given up selling anything). I only ever see a variety of Skylanders at Toys R Us and Target. GameStop has pretty much given up, as well, except for the Eon's Elite figures (and those are shelfwarmers at my local GameStop).

GameStop will eventually be done in by not having competitive sale prices and wildly inconsistent customer service. Not one person I know of thinks "let's go to GameStop!" as a first option for Skylanders purchases. They are always the last to get new figures and nothing about their selection sets them apart from the competition other than their overpriced Eon's Elite line which has a very small niche customer base. Quite honestly, I've never seen video games at competitive prices there. Any true video gamer with half a brain purchases their games at Best Buy with a guaranteed 20% off at release with Gamers Club Unlocked...no reason for them to set foot in a GameStop. If GameStop wants to stay in business, they need to up their game and offer a membership deal that outdoes the 20% off at Best Buy. Power Up Pro rewards is an absolute joke.

My go to store is GameStop. Why? Well I'm a member of the Skylanders Club there and my only 2 options are Walmart and GameStop. I'll take ignorant about Skylanders over ignorant about life so I go to Gamestop. The nearest TRU, Target, or Best Buy are 30 minutes away.

I don't like gamestop only cause I never see anything on sale that's really worth it to me. Bestbuy I use to like till they changed to a 15day return thingy so i stoped going there. TRU was my go to store but changes in how they handle returns even when they are price adjustments sort of sours them for me, thou I do still go in and look around as the managers know me and I use to work for TRu like 15yrs ago as my 1st job.

Walmart I go to cause my mother-in law works there, otherwise its a dirty store and always very busy

Target is my go to store as I enjoy how ours are around here and they have pretty nice ppl.

Now the above doesnt apply to everywhere as when i go out of state ive had compeltely diff reactions etc.

Happy Holidays All smilie

Update: I found both Light and Dark packs at a Best Buy in California this morning. Bought one of each with Gamer's Club Unlocked discount and $15 in Reward Certificates!
