Hoopa was sort of foreshadowed in the Chowder episode, "The Flying Flinger Lingons". Chowder and the Lingons said "Hoopa!" in it.

At least, that's what I'd like to think anyway.

I believe it is because it gives those specific pokemon a clean 50% boost to sp atk and sp def with no draw backs. The items are a little OP and only for 2 pokemon. For instance life orb raises atk and sp atk by 30% BUT you take 10% damage fore each hit. Choice items raise a stat by 50% but only allow one moves usage. My guess is that its because soul dew just doesnt have a down side

I showed a video of how to make Zen Mode Darmanitan work, as there are almost no strategies for the thing. Winning was not the reason I put that here.

What do you guys recommend for a competitive team in ORAS? Right now my team was more focused on catching things than competitive play.
Right now my team is:

Sceptile (Mega)
Metagross
Charizard
Glalie (could be Mega)
Latios
and Rayquaza

Just looking for team suggestions for competitive, not any specific moves smilie

I personally have never been a fan of using any legendary. I can't help thinking that using them is 'cheating', and I prefer using the pokemon I've raised since LV 17 or under.

First of all, I despise using legends at ANY given time, and many other people do too, if you use a legend people will complain and yadda yadda. Even in game you can't use rayquaza in the battle maison so if that's what you want you're outta luck.

Anyway I'm not really the best at pulling teams from nowhere, but you generally only want one mega, unless they can both work without it. If I knew your style or say, two of your favourite pokemon I could make something up quick....

Although I don't know about which moves they can learn, Gallade has high Attack and high Sp. Def (I think), and Magnazone has high Sp. Atk and high Def. (I think). Because most Pokemon have either high Special stats (e.g. Reniculus) or high Physical stats (e.g. Golem), they can defend agaist some of their more powerful moves (e.g. Psychic for Reniculus), and do more damage because the other Pokemon won't have very high Def./Sp. Def.. And Gallade can Mega Evolve, too. I don't know much about competitive teams though, so there might be better Pokemon.

And I know a VERY good Triple Battle strategy that makes Shedinja almost impossible to defeat. It's like having six F.E.A.R. Rattatas on your team, but it only works in Triple Battles.

I might think about that Gallade, and I need a good dragon type, so might s Altaria, Dragonite, or Hydriegon.

^All 3 of those are good choices, though Altaria might be a better choice since its mega is Dragon/Fairy type.
The Fairy type completely negates Dragon type weakness, but also alows a few. Still, overall its not bad.

The others? Idk, Altaria is defensive, while dragonite is mainly setup sweep. Up to you.

I just seen Gallade's Base HP Stat (68), and I think it's too low. If you're using Legends, then I think you should EV train a Mew/Jirachi/Manaphy/other 600-Base Stat Legend to have maximum Attack/Sp Def or maximum Sp Atk/Defence. If not, just choose a non-Legend with good all-round (e.g. Phione, if he/she/it counts as "Non-Legend") and train them to have maximum Sp Atk/Defence or maximum Attack/Sp Def. However, I think you should have two on your team, not one. If you were fighting a Reniculus with a Pokemon that has maximum Sp Atk but low Sp. Def, it won't be as good as a PKMN with maximum Attack but low Defence.

But if you can only use one, then choose the one that will be more effective agaist PKMN that are used competitively. If most competitive users had PKMN with high Special stats, then choose a PKMN with maximum Attack but low Defence, or a PKMN with maximum Sp Atk and low Sp Def if most competitive users had PKMN with good Physical Stats
