While on the blu-ray.com website, I stumbled upon Trailblazer and Cobra Cadabra in the Walmart ad for next week. This might not mean anything, but maybe it does. I know we all assumed that the cores would not be coming out until January because of the Frito Lay timed exclusive of High Five, but what if these two are wave 3 and High Five and Bat Spin are wave 3.5. Hopefully, they will be out and this is not one of those moments where they just slap any old skylanders on the ads.

Splitting of the core releases for this wave was a given

Umm....how is this a sale (yes...I understand this is a speculation thread about a possible new release of figures)???? Aren't cores regularly about $10 there anyway??? A couple cents discount perhaps? At least with the Disney Infinity figures shown, they give $5 back as a gift card.

I do not know that any one said anything about a sale. Some items in ads are on sale, but oftentimes the items in ads are not on sale.

That's cool, but I'm so over ordering overseas for Skylanders. I've done it before, but ended up regretting it last time because by the time I got them it was AFTER they came out here due to hold ups in Customs (which is always a risk, they random check packages - the ones I got that time had the corner torn open and took a couple weeks to get here). You also miss out on the frequent sales you can get here.

Shipping charges aren't terrible, but I don't think Prime works for it and you don't get tracking info with the standard level. The prices listed are Euro, so after the conversion it actually comes out a little less than you think (but still a bit more than retail) after they remove VAT.

Facebook isn't USA specific, he is available in Germany and likely here soon too.

Still nothing wave 3 cores or TM's in hand on ebay yet.. At least the site for US..

They are some TMs on EBay, skylander_chaos, but I would stay away from the seller (lizard_2000). He's doing preorders for double to almost triple the retail price.
I'm waiting until the stores get them.

Frankly, I would be VERY scared if Wal Mart has the week advance for this one. Getting it out of their stock room to the floor...ugh.

It's considered an advertisement. We tend to call them sale ads because they typically have sales in them. Walmart, however, rarely has actually sales in their ads (outside of Black Friday, they rarely have sales, period). They just advertise what they have and what price it is. It's still an ad, and because most people believe that all ads should be sale ads, then they think it's a sale, driving people into the store to buy the product. Walmart really likes to trick people. Just like the clearance sections at most Walmarts tend to have lots of random stuff with red clearance stickers on them for the regular price (or sometimes just a few cents difference). It makes people think it's marked down so they will buy it, when it really isn't.

Funny. 1/2 of those have been in another store for quite some time now. And another 1/4th of them has, virtually, been released for quite a while...

I got that this morning and was really attempted to drive out to TRU and check it out because I want Cobra Cadabra, but I'm not interested in those minis and didn't want to waste the time.

I plan to purchase the fire and air mini 2pks, but I refuse to buy the other 2pks since I have something stupid like 12 each of the SSA/SG sidekicks.

Don't waste your time going there. Only the Minis are out today.

I got all excited from the Hot Toy Alert, as well. Didn't even cross my mind that it was just going to be the minis, since I had picked those up last week from Toys R Us. I was hoping for the new cores, or the new trap masters, or even the light and dark packs. How awesome would that have been. Even though I knew full well that we always get rumors of new figures in hand before most of us can actually buy them, I still had a little bit of hope.

I saw these two days ago and passed. I might eventually get the fire one but the water i have like triples of already.

I ordered them including the trapmasters from amazon.de ! amazon.de has been reliable every time i've ordered from them and I dont have to do the chase before xmas !

Not much difference in pricing other than the conversion and shipping !

I mentioned it in another thread, but it might do well to mention it again. Amazon.de is usually very reliable to order from, but sometimes packages will get pulled off in Customs for inspection. I've ordered from them a few times (and Amazon UK once) and one time it took close to a month for delivery. When the packages arrived, the corner was torn open (I guess so they could inspect the contents) with some customs stamps/writing visible on the shipping box. This was for the Arkeyan Crossbow Battle Pack last year, by the way. They should arrive in time, but if they are for a Christmas gift you must have, you could get unlucky and not have them by then. Oh and if the looney wing of the Republicans succeed and shut down the government, it might take even longer.

My 5 year old has put the world of SKYLAND on hold for IMAGINEXT.. He's getting SuperNova Battle Rover and Transforming BAT BOT ! He said just buy em and we'll get to them (skylanders) later ! Damn, Evan on Youtube has me getting a dang Anki-Drive too.. So, I'll be the only one in SkyLand this Xmas ! So, if these are stuck in Customs and or late arriving its on ME !
