Well technically, it's not one eye, it's a certain kind of eye (typically in a pyramid or a certain simplistic design). But most people take it too far and just assume one eye must be Illuminati.
There's a time and place for that sort of thing but most take it too far and give the rest a bad name.

I find it hilarious that they claim things like skylanders are illuminati when gravity falls exists. The main villain is literally the Illuminati. Skylanders has nothing on that.

I believe Avatari is trying to say blaming the mass for the narrow-mindedness of a few is somewhat insulting to those outside the stereotype and is simply trying to defend not just the outside group but herself as it is insulting to be blaming all Christians for the actions of a few.
