When and why did Insomniac change their logo? [CLOSED]

Although I do prefer the newer one, does anybody know why they changed the logo they had from 1998 (Or 1997, idk) ?

I like both logos, in terms of visual presentation, equally. Of course with nostalgia goggles on, I would say the old one in a heartbeat but since I haven’t been in touch with Insomniac gamer-wise, it would be unfair to judge solely based on nostalgic experiences. But visually they both actually resonate greatly with the term insomniac as in a person suffering from insomnia, the other being aggressive red letters in black background and the other being soothing, and borderline hazy moonlight themed approach.

I believe they changed it to this when Ratchet & Clank was made, which makes sense because of the fact that Ratchet & Clank takes place on different planets and the logo has a moon in it.

the old red logo is nice and nostalgic, seeing it on those signposts in the spyro games, but i do like the current logo more. that insomniac moon is nice and iconic feeling
