Does anyone have any TV shows they watch, and a silly moment pops up and reminds them of some distant memory and effects you emotionally?
I know that is phrased really poorly, but I couldn't think of how to exactly phrase it.
I was watching Malcom in the Middle and it involved a scene where Hal (the Dad) picks up Francis (the eldest son) and he drives him back to Arkansas or Alabama (idr lol) and they have a father to son talk about girls and blah blah blah. It was an incredibly short, and kind of funny scene. Nothing too important to be seen.
But man, it made me feel like a sack of crap. My parents divorced in 2002 and that led to losing the house and being forced to move, and my Dad getting a job back where he used to live in the east coast and only being able to see him twice a year. I miss him, man. I never get to see him on my birthday's and he's always traveling because he is a field engineer and has to always go out of country. I never got to have any cool moments with my Dad, and whenever he was in state or I would be sent to see him it would only be for a short period of time.
I think the only reason the scene got to me is because my Dad loved Malcom in the Middle and I remember always watching it with him and laughing. I just miss the times being around him and I hate not having a father like figure to look up to.
Same goes for when I was watching the Simpsons earlier. It was an episode from season six, and like Malcom in the Middle, my Dad loved this show and I remember always watching it with him. Stupid scene involved Homer and Maggie, and it just got to me. It makes me feel awful.
I don't know why I'm ranting like this. I'm sorry. I just needed to get that off my chest.
I miss my Dad. I know to always think positive, but he's sixty years old. ****ing sixty. And I only see him twice a year. It upsets and pains me that eventually he will be gone and I will regret not being able to travel to see him, and I hate that my Mother never let me see him...
I'm sorry guys. Anyone else have a scene in a show get a huge emotional reaction out of them...?

While it wasn't a silly moment by any means, I found
Hatoko's (Hayami Saori should get an award for that performance) breakdown

I have those moments when I hear people talking irl but not in TV shows. Like yesterday this girl who's locker is next to mine was like "argh this is gonna be a long night" and it made me feel like a dumb**** since I don't put much effort into anything I do. So I felt bad for myself but now I'm over it.

Posts like these should just be outright deleted. I don't care what your opinion is on me, but the fact that you antagonize me in nearly every thread is incredibly rude and immature. |
