TRU is running a few deals that are stacking. Of course there is the $10 off $35. Then there's a deal for 2 free traps with Lightcore Hex purchase. Then an unknown and unadvertised promo. No one seems to know what it is, but someone on slickdeals originally posted it as $1.99 traps with purchase of a trap master. However, the promo doesn't seem to come out that way.

I just went to pick up a Kaos trap and ended up buying a Lightcore Hex and 2 Kaos traps to get for free (which is cheaper than just buying the 2 traps). I then decided to he enough to get $35 so picked up a Legendary Jawbreaker and Legendary Deja Vu (since I couldn't get them elsewhere). The total ended up being around $20 before tax. It took off $12 for some unknown promo, $10 for the $35 promo, and $10.57 for the Lightcore Hex promo (the other promos seemed to get the price of the traps low enough to not be able to take the full $13 for the traps). I don't know what the $12 promo is. I was thinking it might be $0.99 traps instead of $1.99 traps, but someone on Slickdeals got the $12 off with only one trap. So I'm not sure.

After I left, my wife and I got to talkkng about sending the extra Lightcore Hex to my niece, but now I'm thinking about going back and seeing if I can get the deal, again, so I can get her a Kaos trap as well and another couple of Skylanders for cheap. Or I wonder if the $12 works with other things and maybe I could just pick up an adventure pack.

Well sumbetch! I bought 2 minis packs last night in one reciept, and 4 traps on another, not even thinking about the promotions! Both were just under $35 before tax.. Damn, couldn't saved $10 if I would of purchased together.. Btw, if you purchased both kaos traps, don't mention it here.. Nobody wants to see a fellow member helping their family out, just hard core scalpers, lol!

The offer for buying Lightcore Hex and getting two traps for free is in-store only, so it's not going to work online.

Sounds like Toys R Us is still desperately trying to get the giant mountains of LC Hexes out of their stores.

Actually SA, Giants and SF. That's the major problem with them.....they have way too much stock. I still can find JBB, LNS, LZL and God knows how many more. Even found

Yes. I got all of it for $20. I even had a $5 gift card that I got free through a gyft.com promotion making it an even sweeter deal. I ended up going back, again, last night, as I remembered that my niece was into Skylanders, so I picked her up a Trap Master and Kaos trap and will give her one of the Lightcore Hex's in case she doesn't have it. Was able to throw in an extra trap and a core Skylander that my son wanted. Too bad they still didn't have the Legendary traps. My son really wanted one, but my store was completely out. I know they wouldn't have been included in the trap deal (as they are considered comics that happen to come with a trap), but would have gotten me to the $35.

As As OC stated, its a very "odd" sale that even the TRU manager at electronics couldn't figure out!

Went to TRU to pick up one of them robo dogs my daughter had on her Christmas WL (which was also "inexplicably" $10 off....no ad, no sign, no nothing), but saw the Weeruptor & Small Fry double pack and HAD to pick up for my kids...also saw the sign for 2 free traps with purchase of a lightcore Hex...since we didn't have her (we have S1 & S2 Hex and I'm the only one that really likes her , it was a no brainer to pick up 2 traps for free (or a free LC Hex with purchase of 2 Traps..however U wanna look at it)...my totals...

What it WOULD'VE been:
Weeruptor & Small Fry 2 pack...$14.99
LC Hex...$10.99
2 Traps...$6.99 each

What it turned out to be after "unknown" sale (looking at my online receipt now):
Weeruptor & Small Fry 2 pack..$11.23
LC Hex...$8.23
2 Traps...$0.00 each

Grand total: $19.46 before tax! She said that this "unknown" Skylander sale has been going on ALL day 12/4 and people were walking out with $4 Trap Masters (too bad I had picked them all up earlier this week)...almost wish I had gone there sooner (there were no KAOS traps..but their might've been).

Seems to be about 33% off or so sale?

If they're anything like my store, they usually get new shipments and just stash the cases on the top shelf not knowing there is anything new. I mentioned it in another thread, but I even had the guy argue with me that they didn't have any Kaos traps and I wouldn't be able to find one anywhere in town. He refused to listen to me that they were in the new case assortment claiming that they only came in their own case assortment. He even showed me the top of the box (which I just decided to open myself) and tried to prove that there wasn't one in it by just showing the top. I asked him to show me the traps on the bottom, which he continued to debate with me over. He eventually gave in and showed me the bottom and still said..."See, there aren't any Kaos traps." I reached in and pulled two out right in front of him. He just shrugged and walked away with the box.

So I wanted to say thankyou SO much for this. We missed getting lightcore hex so I went over there yesterday.

Green metallic shroom boom! They never recieved them at my toys rus! So i was REALLY happy to find it!

All of it came out to 22$ and some change.

The recipt rang up the trap master as 3$, the lightcore as 8$ and the shroom boom was 8.50.

It's weird how things ring up. My prices were different as my Lightcore Hex was $1+. At least, that was my refund value. It may depend on the order things ring up.

On another note, I now have an extra Lightcore Hex and debating in what to do with it. I picked up /, yesterday and 1 the last time they offered the deal. I sent one to my niece for Christmas hoping she would want her (along with a trap master and a Kaos trap). It's funny that my son got upset that I wouldn't let him buy a used Lightcore Hex a few weeks ago and now I have 3 (minus the one I sent). I may take one to a used game store and see how much trade I can get to put towards another Skylander, if they have any we need. If my TRU receipt was showing a refund value of $8, it would be too tempting to return it. Probably a good thing it didn't
