I had to make this topic. Growing up, me and my brother and best friend were OBSESSED with Star Wars. We always played pretend and constantly wasted money on lightsabers and Star Wars action figures.



Anyways, that's not the point. I grew up with two half brothers who got to see the original three movies in theater's (as did my parents) and so we practically had Star Wars everything, so of course it rubbed off to me. I always loved Return of The Jedi and The Empire Strikes Back, with A New Hope following behind. I also happened to like The Phantom Menace when it came out, but I was only five years old...so of course I liked it. I was bored with Attack of the Clones though. Revenge of the Sith was actually pretty decent though.

And yes, I have rewatched the prequels. I and II are awful and boring, with III being pretty decent.

My ranking of the movies I feel are pretty objective too...they go

VI > V > IV > III > II > I (I was absolutely not needed)

But man oh man. I ****ing LOVE Return and Empire. I can't tell anyone how ****ing excited I am for The Force Awakens. Based on the trailer, there will be no trade negotiations ahaha. It looks fun and dark!

tl;dr: discuss the Star Wars movies. Discuss your favorite color lightsaber. IDGAF. Discuss anything to do with Star Wars.

Personally I thought Empire Strikes Back was the best. The unedited theatrical version specifically.

Oh hell yeah. To be honest, Empire is the one I haven't seen most recently.

I ALMOST bought the Original Trilogy on blu-ray on black friday with my employee discount....but then I heard the blu-ray's were the special editions and they actually had a ton of color issues ):

Yeah and they added Vader screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOO at the end of episode 6, plus jar jar shows up, no joke. I have the theatrical release dvd's, which are getting rare. I have no plans on ever buying star wars again unless it is the theatrical release.

Damn.

Hopefully the originals can be pushed to blu-ray sometime soon, and the only edit to be made would be film grain issues. Simply remaster it. Add nothing else in.
