The nostalgia is too much...

Those games are STILL great. I've had them forever.

Oh yes, I most certainly remember Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. The first game was actually my first game on PS2 when I got the console as a Christmas present back at the day. Of course I linked a huge nostalgia value to it and of course on hindsight, come modern days, I still consider it to be a very nice playing experience, even though when playing the game with intentions to collect all the picture frames can be slightly frustrating.

I bought Ty 2: The Bush Rescue for PS2 in 2010 when I found it from my local game store. It made actually a nice change of gameplay structure compared to its predecessor and felt something different. Only thing I loathe about that game is the racing minigames. After I finished that game I begun to search for Ty 3 but as a European, I am cursed that TY 3 exists only in NTSC format and PAL version is not in existence which is outrageously bad business decision when one wants the game to make it in international markets. I know that there are ways to trick that area code thingamajig but it is useless now because I haven not managed to find copies to buy even in Internet anymore.

So that is my story about my experience with Ty the Tasmanian Tiger games. Based on the first two games, I think that it had potential to be decent if not even good all-around platformer series lasting for more than just a few games. I actually still do play those two on quite a regular basis. Carry on people…

Yeah, I still have the second game for my PS2. I just remember that I never beat it and spent most of the time wandering around, lost beyond belief.

Yup. My cousin introduced me to the games and I went and bought all of them. Haven't played them in a while. But that's because I have no idea what happened to them.

I really loved the second one. Can safely say that it was my favorite. That huge ass open world with amazing levels in many sections.

You are not allowed to complain about Ty 2's racing if you haven't played 3's.... I mean at least they don't force you to race in 2, but in 3? *shudder*

I remember that commercial with Crash, Spyro and Sonic put into hospital by Ty, who then comes over to finish the job.

Ty's developers Krome Studios, ironically, ended up making the first two Legend of Spyro games.

To me, Ty is to the more famous mascots what Challange of the GoBots are to Transformers.
