If you get one of the special villain traps like Riot Shield Shredder, can you accidentally delete the villain by capturing another villain? Or once in game does he go to your vault?

Just asking as it sounds like something my kids would do (overwrite the special villain).

He does not go to villian vault but when you put the normal villian in that trap he will become the variant

It kinda sucks that the Special Villain Traps don't have any colored parts of them. It would be hard to tell which Trap contains variant villains. The Life Torch Trap with Riot Shield Shredder should have gotten the flame parts painted in whatever glittery color. The same goes for Outlaw Brawl & Chain in the Water Logholder and Steamed Broccoli Guy in the Life Toucan Traps.

^yeah, we have doubles cause this! At least they could of made element logo a different color.. This would of been cheap! *runs and grabs yellow sharpie for a little experiment*

There we go, can you tell the difference? My steamed BG is gold now.. Well, that was cheap and easy!

This may not be the best idea yet, but what if we could just customize the Traps with variant villains inside with special paint? I was thinking of doing as followed:

1) Life Torch Trap (Riot Shield Shredder) [bronze flames]
2) Water Log Holder Traper (Outlaw Brawl & Chain) [silver eyes and log rims]
3) Life Toucan Trap (Steamed Broccolii Guy) [gold wings, beak and eyes]

i did this to mine with a bottle of my wife's nail polish she doesn't wear anymore.
i practiced on the water tiki first, as i will be getting a second one after christmas, and it cleans off completely with nail polish remover.
i need to clean up the Water Logholder up a bit, i was a bit hasty and got a few spots in unwanted spots.
i figured legendary had gold accents, so the variants should have silver.

I may be off-topic here, but I was thinking of customizing my Traptanium Portal to have the silvery parts black and the cage bars silver to appear like the Dark Edition Skylanders figures.

Exactly. I thought the customized Traptanium Portal looked better than the original.

We tag our skylanders with colored rubber bands to signify who owns what. We tagged the "special" traps with rubber bands the same way, even though we share the traps openly.
