Now that we are finally getting good deals for Trap Team, I'm finally going to be able to get it for my son's Christmas. However, I'm not sure I'll be able to get him all the traps. Are there any that might be best to start off with or to have? What has been your experience? Would it be best to get traps to capture the villains I want? Which, in your opinion, is the best to do that with? I'm especially wondering since I may get in on the TRU deal, today, that comes with a free trap. That way I know he has, at least, one extra one. I'm just trying to figure out which is the best one to get.

Buy a bulk pack . Whatever Skylanders game you play its all about the numbers .

^what she said for sure!!! From one father to another, the 8 pack is the best deal and actually has some awesome traps inside! Hope this helps

I agree that it might be the best value, but it's also not cheap as a one time purchase. Plus with B2G1 and B1G1% sales, traps may be cheaper individually. You may miss out on the Steamed Broccoli guy, but I'm just trying to get started. Plus I'm looking at getting the free trap from TRU, so right now, my choice is just one.

I'm finally Christmas shopping too... is there a difference in traps.

So for example does it matte if I get 3 air jugheads...or do I need 1 of each for each element?

Doesn't matter, a trap is good for its respective element no matter the shape..

Don't know about the sales, but the Trap 8 Pack is actually cheaper than 8 single traps.

It costs 40$, while 8 Trap Single Packs would cost you around 50$, not counting the exclusive variant villain inside the Life Toucan, which still add to the price.

If you pick one?

Get a Tech Trap, or a Undead, they have pretty cool villains,

Get a screamer trap they look the coolest. Thankfully you get one in the steamed broccoli 8 trap pack.

buy a 3 pack with air fire and undead or the other one but the first is better I think I got both

tech its has six villains and most are good so i think you should go with the Tech trap

I ended up taking my son with me to Toys R Us and asking him which ones he would want. I had him pick out his top 3 and was able to sneak away and get them along with the game. So $50 for the game and 3 traps. He ended up getting an undead axe, a magic skull, and an earth hammer. They had the magic hourglass (I was thinking some people thought they were hard to find), but I agree with him that the skull was better looking. It was better that I got him to pick them out. That way he can trap the villains he wants. He wanted to trap Wolfgang, Chomp Chest, and I believe Painyatta. So letting him decide was probably the best decision. I just wasn't sure if I'd work it out to take him before I bought them.

The trap you will probably still want to get if you can find it is the kaos trap. As you can't trap kaos with out it.
