so, how many skylanders of a given element you need to get the max elemental power bonus for the skylanders of that element this time around?
You needed 5 skylanders in Giants, and 11 in Swap Force. How many you need in Trap Team?

16 different Skylanders. For example, if you added Legendary Grim Creeper, it'll added one Undead Skylander instead of two as part of boosting elemental power. However, adding regular Grim Creeper even with L-Grim Creeper already added to the in-game collection won't boost elemental powers. You can add as many figures (including variants) as you desire, but you'd have to add 16 completely different Skylanders. If I were you, I'd add the original versions first, no variants, S2, S3, and/or S4 figures.
9 Core Skylanders 1 Giant 2 Swap Force Skylanders 2 Trap Masters 2 Minis Remember, there should be 16 Skylanders in each element with the exception of the Light and Dark elements. |

So you 16 skylanders and variants of the same character doesnt count. Is it this way for Swap Force too? I mean, there'sd only 10 different characters back then, but you need 11 for the max elemental bonus of 70. Am I right to think that variants (or series versions at least) does count on Swap Force?

Actually, you need to add 10 different Skylanders in Swap Force. If you placed their variant versions in first, then their original versions won't boost their elemental powers. 16 for Trap Team since there are 6 new Skylanders for each of the eight original elements.

Funny thing about swap force "for me some variants counted, even after already adding the normal version and some did not" So I can't say for sure.

With 10 different skylanders you reach 63 bonus elemental power, but the max elemental power bonus in swap force is 70. I have already read about some variants counting and others not counting in swap force. My guess is that or series 1,2 and 3 count as different skylanders there, or variants counts as different skylanders and series doesn't, one or the other. I would really want to know.
About Trap Team, how much elemental power is added with each skylander? And what is the maximum with all the 16 skylanders added?

I was under the impression that if you added a swapped character, like Magna Shake, that it counted as a different skylander of the appropriate element(s). At least in Swap Force. Then again, I could easily be mistaken.
