In the beginning of the game, when you chose difficulty, what did you choose?

I started at Hard,
and plan on going to finish the whole game on Nightmare
Like the title says, what difficulty did you start with?
What are some 'landers you use in Nightmare mode?

started at hard, went down to easy

i'm such a wimp

Haven't played yet, but having to start on easy (my little brother can't withstand anything higher than that. And no, he won't even let me play without him.).

i always do a first play through on easy, i like to watch the story without having to worry about strategy for killing things or having to get up and constantly change figures when they get killed off, i save that for the nightmare play through.

i pretty much just used Kaos for my nightmare play through, with a bit of help from Snap Shot and Chopper.

Started at Medium, so it wouldn't have distracted me that much from the Story and the environments, but wouldn't have bored me either.

I started at medium for a little difficulty and less frustration, then played through the other 3 difficulties afterwards.

So far, I've started and done all four game files on Hard. But as soon as I complete all four game files at 100% with all Trinkets and all but one Hat collected, I will copy the whole STT game file to my flash drive, take the memory drive out, erase one of my game files, and restart the whole thing on Nightmare just so I could get the Rainbow Hat after finishing all 18 basic levels. The following Skylanders I want to equip with the Rainbow Hat are:

1) Tuff Luck
2) Whirlwind (S3)
3) Polar Whirlwind
4) Breeze
5) Flashwing (LightCore)
6) Enchanted Star Strike
7) Gearshift
8) Echo
9) Stealth Elf (S3 and Dark)
10) Whisper Elf
11) Cynder (S1, S2 and S3)
12) Roller Brawl
13) Spotlight

Basically, I'd be putting the Rainbow Hat on my favorite female Skylanders I own.

I did medium because if I did hard my sister would kill off all of my skylanders

Medium but I made a new one on nightmare

I've been starting my first save files on hard since Giants.
I also plan to get 100% on my Nightmare Difficulty file like I did with Giants.

Hard mode

I started on Hard Mode.

Started on Medium. Soon to start Nightmare But i need a Trap Master of all 8 elements before i start. Idk why i just feel like it and i don't wanna wait t'ill light and dark to start Nightmare Either. So i'll just wait for the base Trap Masters (8 ELEMENTS)

I started on ''SUPER AWESOME EPIC HARDCORE ONLY BOSS PPL CAN FINISH'' in 1 day with 3 stars on every lvl with only 1 skylander

Note: Do not ever leave flash drives inserted in the Wii U consoles while playing video games, or else we get screwed.

My boys all did the same!

Normal, cause Easy's too easy, and Hard was a bit too rough considering I was starting with fresh characters.

Normal . I miss not being able to toggle difficulties :-(

Easy I wanted a huge difficulty spike when I start nightmare

I don't care how super difficult Nightmare is. I intend to get that Rainbow Hat by any means necessary and to prove that I am much tougher and more hardcore than Kaos thinks he is.

I started on Hard Mode, and I had to use my villains 80% of the level because of my Lvl 1 Skylanders' health getting depleted all the time.

WHY cant we start on Nightmare!!!!!!!!

You need to beat Kaos first...

Medium.

Medium...

1) I max out all of my Skylanders at level 20 before playing the game on Hard or Nightmare mode.
2) I make absolute certain that I choose whichever villain(s) do more damage as well as keep attacking while holding down button(s).
3) Today, I learned that no matter what chapter or which boss battle I am in, I can always change the difficulty. Lately, I was fighting Kaos on Easy and then changed the difficulty to Hard before delivering the last damaging blow to him. That's how I got the Bronze, Silver and Gold Arkeyan Helms so easily.

Easy.
Wanted to collect as much as I can, as well as get the feel of the game.
Whether, or not, I do higher difficulties really doesn't matter except for the hats.
Want to finish the game and max out all the new characters.

Wait, so you can really reach the end of the fight on Easy, and then change the difficulty, and it will unlock the different Arkeyan Helms...?
