Do you reckon the max level will increase?

In all seriousness, my guess is that they will eventually up the level cap. But boy will it take a long time to reach the next max level...

170 chars -all the companions - 3500 plus Gems - plenty gold and energy ... Just purchased the last island.

Just wondered if they will up the current Max level.

Probably not till Spring (like last year). They need to ration the new content, and right now they have lots of new figures and villains to give us to keep interest high. If they give too much at once then we do it all at once, we are all checking in frequently to level our new Trap Masters, if the level cap already went up, we would be getting that as well.

Not to mention, they have to add something compelling to need to gain those extra levels, so it isn't just a "bump the number up" thing.

I feel really bad. I'm level 21. Is that really bad?

My kids started almost 6 months before me.
Son - 17
Daughter - level 10
Me - Level 36.
I started playing in August. It all depends on how many times a day you play and how many of the toys you have. This helped in the gem / experience area.

In my view no level is bad. In a way, it's better to be at a lower level because there's more to do in the game at that point and the levels rise faster. Near the top, it took me weeks to move from one level to the next.

Do the house stop giving XP when you reach 45?
I am pretty sure I would sometimes get XP from houses, but not anymore. I don't know if that is a change in the game or a consequence of reaching 45. I reached it a few weeks ago, but only noticed the XP a couple of days ago, so ensure if the change happened when leveling up.

You should still continue to get xp. After you reach level 45, you get a MAX bar. You can fill it up with xp and when it gets full, you get 15 gems and some wishstones.

You should still continue to get xp from regular Mabu Houses and Community Buildings, but Giant/Alter-Ego/Dark/etc houses do stop giving experience.

Way back when, once you maxed out your kingdom level, any further xp were uncounted and meaningless. There was no refilling the max bar to get extra gems and wishstones. Since these special character houses were intended to be good and special, they "fixed" them to recognize that you no longer needed xp, so to stop giving it out once the max level was reached.

Now that it is useful to continue to collect xp, their fix is more of a bug, but not really a big one in the grand scheme of things, so let's call it a quirky feature.

I'd rather have gold, energy or gems from the character houses anyway, so I'm happy to be at level 45 and not have them kicking out drips and drabs of kingdom XP.

I was lvl 45 for a long time. I have played for 17 months and I had it all. I have all the skylanders IRL and that helps to gain speed. The last couple of months I was waiting for the trap team update, but I was reset.
I had 19.000 gems, 1.900.000.0000 gold and over 2.000.000 energy. I also had the problem that I didnt have enough space on the island and that makes you think on what you want on your island. In this you optimize your Island and that stays fun. I use the swap force characters on cloud Breakers island to gain the money the fastest and all companions help also. With everything and the different character houses you can get around 100 gems a day, so It is difficult to spend them especially when there isnt room on your Islands.

I've waited for the lvl40 then lvl45 cap, I had em both within a month of the cap going up. I *HAD* 170 'landers, but a few weeks ago it crashed and removed 14 characters, including Lucky Boomer. I've got them all back and up to lvl15 except Boomer. I'm hoping they have them all available on turkey day so I can get back up to 170. What else am I gonna spend my 8000 wish stones on?

I just plan on going back every 4 hours to reload Mount Cloudbreak and harvest my 4 hour crops. That's what I'm doing for my Mag433 account. I really only play the Zeke_D account to keep feeding my friends kudos. I play for a week after a new alter ego is out, then just twice a day for the rest of the month. Tomorrow my final "classic" island will open on Mag433. I'm trying to go minimalist on that account. I'm doing pretty well I think. This game is hella easier with kudos. I know you remember the game right after the Giants update…**shudder**

I still have my friends and with kudos it is a lot easier. Also when you have played you know what is important to get first. With a lot of skylanders you can lvl a lot of them and get gems you need at first. I now have only 141 skylanders because I have lot all the alter ego's.

I'm not gonna go hog wild with Mag433. I'm at 56 'landers (7 toy links for each element) and 4 or 5 alter egos. Almost all of those 56 get bonuses. Here's something you can relate to:

I have got my skylanders sorted in plastic boxers by serie. 1 box for spyro's adventure, 1 box for the Giants, 1 box for the regular skylanders of giants, 1 box for swap force and 1 for the regular skylanders of swap force etc.
Only got one userid for lost islands so I can goal the way there.

My wife has been playing since the beginning of the year and she's mad that even with owning all the figures, she's only up to level 30, whilst I've been playing the Mag433 account for less than a month and am up to level 27. Like you said, the second time around is way easier.

Oh......?? I've reached level 45 a while ago but i didn't realize that giant/alt ego houses stop giving xp at level 45. In any cases, My islands are very full. I'm thinking of selling away some energy fields n adventure balloons n replace them with scout houses. These, i believe generate gems, gold n xps. Just waiting for sale on house...lol

I just got to level 15. That's not bad compared to me.

Level 41 and rising .....

we made level 44 at the start of last week and are barely 40% into the next level...Aiyaiyai, but it's tedious

Here I am!! Made it offline at lunch, and then when I logged on to home network, I managed to get the reward AGAIN!

last island is purchased and I'm ready for the weekend. Someone told me there's a few sales going on for gem buildings!

Yep. I've been preparing for level 46 for quite a while now!

I dont think increasing the level cap is on the programmers top ten list of things to do at the moment.

If you got on Activison web site they do not even show Lost Island as available for IOS or Andriod. You can find the forums if you search. The other mobile games are there.
I have check last Month and this month.

I hope they do increase it soon. ... You get bored with it being maxed and waiting for the next new toon. I have 171 so far. Does Merrysnapsot represent the Christmas theme. No change in landscape or snow. I wasn't playing last year so I don't know if they did anything.

They have too much to do at once . Level cap and "snow" is a very minor problem . I wonder if they are understaffed ?

There is almost assuredly a very small "staff" for this game. It's probably a few people who devote a small percentage of their work week to this. I'm just glad they support it at all.

This is not a volunteer donar .org . This is a brand name advertising / money making app kingdom game thats keeping us plugged into skylands 24/7 . Understaffed or overworked probably yes but they get their pay cheques .

Well, we have several people "helping" play at any one point. While you share with your brother you guys seem to play many games. With us it's just this one (and a lot of free time between pick up, drop off, and appointments for 5 people!)

At the moment we are working on all the gem buildings we hadn't bought before (like the aquarium) and the quests that come with them.
