Oh dear I just saw these last night and hoped no one would see it. Only because they will take it down like they did long ago, but I'm just glad to see even the most feint possibility that could still come out this year.

Do we have any proof that Knight light and Knight mare are in the action packs? Other than the fact that they are in the videos.

No, they haven't posted any details of the Light/Dark Trap Masters being in the Adventure Packs.

Thank you aura. I just thought maybe I missed something because some people just go on about it like TFB or Activision said it and put it all over the internet..

When I went to preorder them, they were listed the same price as the other Trap Masters. I think Blackout and Spotlight will come with the new adventure packs.

He isnt. Both Knight Light and Knight Mare were spotted online with $15 for the price. And it said single pack I believe. Anyway, he isn't going to be in an adventure pack (or action pack since it looks like that's what they are calling the light and dark adventure packs)

Regardless, UNLESS you don't live near TRU why would you bother with Walmart? TRU has release days set ( for the most part ) , exclusive variants, and the better deals even if they are a dollar or 2 overpriced. My advice, dont preorder, wait till TRU gives the heads up of " We Got Them Before Any Else " deal.

Absolutely none of trap team ,figure-wise, has been hard to obtain. Kaos trap has been the exception.....but that is suppossedly going to change this wave. All trap masters and cores have been freely available in quantities across the 3 super stores ( Target, TRU, and walmart ).

Why does no one understand that in the adventure packs from swap force.. Pop Thorn and Wind Up were exclusive to the Adventure packs.. But became single packs! And that doesn't mean Blades and Deja Vu wont. And night Light and Knight Mare are probably still in the adventure pack but are ALSO In a single pack for those who don't don't care about expanding their game. Anyway, I'm pretty sure this is what they are doing.

Right they will de-standardize every one of those plastic bubbles that they put on 3-packs and adventure packs, JUST to put Trap Masters in? That costs MONEY and activision demands MONEY, to make a whole new size of plastic bubbles would cost money, AND it would only be useful for two packs, possibly not even fitting stuff from the next game? Yes that's right I'm sure that's what they will do...

You see, my dear fellow Portal Masters, I live near five major retailers where I buy my Skylanders: Target, TRU, Best Buy, GameStop and Walmart. If TRU has a better deal, fine. But if not, I'll retain my preorder. As it is, I have 3 Gear Shifts (2 in mint condition)
And if I have more than one of each, then I can do both paths for each one.
As for those who have seen the preorders for Knight Light & Knight Mare for $15 each.
I guess you don't get my point...why would TFB break protocol? If the last two Adventure Packs had the expansion, the core figure, a Magic Item and a Trap, they can ship more. Each case would have 3x Midnight Museum Adventure Packs & 3x Sunscraper Spire Adventure Packs. If a Trap Master was added to each AP, it would reduce the number of APs shipped thus there would not be enough for initial release.
Blackout & Spotlight would be no different than Blades & Deja Vu. They would come with their respective Adventure Packs, then later as singles.
If you'd remember from the video of how they made a Skylander using 3D printing, it's easier to put out more cores than larger figures:
10 cores to 5 larger figures (Giants, Swappers and/or Trap Masters)
Plus the cost is still the same. $14.99 for a Trap Master, $24.99 for an Adventure Pack.
Plus..ask yourself, what sells more: a Trap Master or an Adventure Pack?
Prime example: what's easier to find? NE or Wallop?

Don't know if you noticed, but, every single Skylander, trap and Adventure, Battle, Triple or Double Pack has a specific inner plastic shape to protect the toys inside.
Not only that, but, with Trap Team, they decided to completely change the look of the outer bubbles, making them look more like crystals, the most prominent example being the Trap Master's packs.

Not to mention that they created all new pack models (Trap Masters, Traps, Minis, 8 Traps Pack) that are really different from the previous ones.

Do you really think a simple change for two Adventure Packs (not even listed as normal ones but as "Action Packs") would be that expensive...?

But they do change the bubbles slightly with every game any way, and even though they are listed as action packs, it would still be cheaper just to use the same outer bubbles. Now as for the inner bubbles they have to do that anyway, so that's an expense with every pack.

Yes, you are right, slightly.

This year not only we have the biggest variety of packs to date, but they are also really different from their predecessors.
Moreover, as you said, changing the inner plastic bubbles for the different toy models (reposes included) already is expensive, so, logically, it wouldn't cost them that much to do a overall bigger pack, right?

That would actually be awesome, if they all were new characters (not reposes or variants).

I frankly miss buying Triple Packs withouth thinking, like I did back in the SA's times, when I didn't had to "worry" about unwanted figures.

But thing about a 8-Pack it would be like 80 dollars cause most skylanders are 10 dollars and over so actually with tax it would be 100 dollars... Thats even more then the starter pack.. Yeah that wont happen.

Don't think so.

Since the Traps 8 Pack costs 40$ (while 8 traps bought separately would cost at least around 50$ or more, variant included), I would expect a Skylanders 8 Pack to cost around 70$, or even less, not having any special character in it.

TfB (Activision) wouldn't be any greedier, if they decided to create a Pack like that one, instead of making you buy the same characters separately.

I would actually buy it in a heartbeat.

I might buy it but maybe i wont cause of how much money it would be. My dad would never let me buy something that expensive (other then Skylanders of course)

Sorry to astray from topic, but, where in heck do you live? That is the highest tax bracket I have ever heard of....

Skylander_chaos, Luminous means that the normal price for each new core figure is $10. If you did an 8-pack of brand new core figures it would equal to the following:

8 individual core figures = $80
Or you can go 2 Triple packs ($24.99 each) + 2 individual cores=$70

That's before tax.
Why would anyone think of an 8-pack of cores is beyond me. They have enough problems just getting out in the stores to begin with.

I live in Canada but not saying the exact place.

The way I see it, everyone, one way or another I'll get both Light & Dark Trap Masters, as well as the rest of them and the cores. Maybe even finish of the traps, the last 2 adventure packs and Minis.
I'm nearly 70% of completing the game with only 30+ stars left to finish it.
Minus what I'm missing, I'm only having problems finishing the last challenge of the quicksand Coliseum and Beating the clock for Chapter 13.

I'm not asking exactly where you live, I'm just saying paying $20 tax on $80 is insane...
