I know that sounds harsh, but after a few weeks of playing with my son I'm left with the impression that this game is borderline broke.

Slowdown is common in Story mode despite dated, fuzzy graphics and Kaos mode is basically a slide show (extremely low frame rate).

TFB had two years to work on TT and the performance on PS3 is unlike anything I've ever seen in any a retail game.

Swap Force ran much better on PS3 and I'm starting to wonder if TFB knows how to code a game in HD.

SA ran very fast and looked great on PS3, but you may remember that another company (Xpec) handled the PS3/360 ports.

I'm not even going to bring up the sluggish, blurry, zoomed-in mess that was Giants.

Skylanders is all about colorful, detailed characters engaging is fast-paced combat (something only SA and SF achieved).

With Black Friday around the corner, I may have to consider re-buying the game on another system.

You may have problems with your PS3 copy of the game, but this doesn't mean that the issue is in the actual disc.

I honestly heard that the PS3 and 360 versions of the game are the best ones, so far, in terms of bugs, framerate and general feel (the next gen ones have a lot of minor and major bugs and glitches), and seeing how almost everyone is whining about every single thing they don't like in this game, a low framerate wouldn't have passed unnoticed.

Maybe your PS3 is old, and it's starting to feel the weight of the years, the problem is definitely not in the game, I can guarant it.

I'm not sure as my PS3 version looks like any other version.

I have read that the ps4 version was one of the best ones. Maybe your disc is defective?

Sorry for the rant, but I've been stewing over this for weeks.

My hopes for a patch to improve performance have also faded.

My PS3 is a 12GB super slim (newest model) upgraded to 500GB.

I might look for some YouTube videos of Kaos challenge (assuming someone put up videos from PS3).

TFB are creative 'whiz-kids' to be sure, but I'm less impressed at the moment with their actual technical prowess (how their games run).

my ps3 version run good but then i never played two player... have you checked if your tv is correct setup for the ps3, this can be day and night for the graphic quality if not correct setup. also maybe your disc is no good?... i have played all skylanders games on the ps3 without problems.

you dont need to excuse the rant, your allowed to rant here, you bought the game and are not happy we understand. there have been many people here not happy with this game. we just try to get some sort of understanding of what could be wrong. then see if there is a solution....

I haven't seen anyone else say what GamerDad66 is saying here, which makes me think it could just be his copy.

The older your console gets, there will be a likelihood of your games getting glitches.

okay i see, i have only played koas level alone but i didnt take notice of it as being slow. but with that said, the ps3 can be slow if hundreds of object happens at once. so if you play two player i guess this will be more noticeable. we other here have played koas level one player so that is why we have not notice it...

before it was the old wii holding back the game and as we proceed to next gen the x360,ps3,wiiu will show its age. but then again as other here said, the ps3 version have been the best version with less bugs so far. but slowdowns for two players is more showing with the ps3 version then also the x360,wiiu version will have this.. since all these consoles have more or less the same ram and cpu powers..

all i can say if you want less slowdowns in the game when you play two player then the ps4 version will be better. but then again you will have to deal with more bugs like corrupt save files and etc...

nothing is perfect... and this have for sure been the most bug/glitched ps3 skylanders game so far but nothing game breaking like save files getting corrupt.

read the bug/glitch thread the ps4 version ain better when it comes to bug/glitch. but it will for sure run smoother with more objects on the screen. slowdowns on the ps3 two player aint no bug/glitches its a limitation of the console and same goes for the x360 and wiiu. since they also will have slowdowns when playing two players...

CMB is right...be SPECIFIC about the glitch...head over to the thread, and contribute.

Yes, I'm using HDMI.

I'll check that right now, I might have that turned On in PS3 settings for more color saturation.

Turned that Off in PS3 settings. Will try Kaos Mode with son later.

I guess that's why there is also a PS4 version to make the PS3 look like ancient history.

ancient and ancient?... the ps4 version got more bugs than the ps3 version so that is saying something... also i have not noticed anything slowdown playing single player on the ps3.

You're a genius, I turned off Deep Color in PS3 display settings and Kaos Mode is now playable.

You saved me a lot of money and aggravation had I bought another version (PS4) and started over.

I just looked at your guide too, so turning off the White Boost might speed it up even more.

good to hear you got it sorted... im glad i have a simple hdtv that give you everything from start without fielding around.. most newer hdtv's today is like computers and you gotta figure them out

i know but his first post we didn't know... dont get me wrong, i love the ps3. it had a ruff start but ps3 started to be good in 2010 and still going strong. i am gonna keep using my ps3 a couple of more years before i move to the ps4. hopefully by then there is a ps4 slim and the ps4 software is complete

I have a PS3, I'm not offended. Rage posting isn't illegal.

I do find it interesting that according to him Swap Force, in the exact TV configuration, runs fine.
