    Mine has two retries in-game, and I did choose that path.

    Mmmh... Maybe it's a matter of console?

    Or maybe your Night Shift got somehow reset, and you simply haven't unlocking that upgrade, yet.

    I love how much faster prism break and stump smash are in TT. I find sunburn is a little slower.

    Yes, but also, in SSF, smilie was able to use attacks quickly, and was probably the best Skylander in that game. Here, he got dramatically worse, now that (I think) he has a little bit more time to rest his attacks, so overall... I think he got heavily nerfed.
