Does anyone know if Skylanders Trap Team will be playable on the IPad Air 2 since Activision was very picky with all the tablet versions?

In the Apple ecosystem, anything you could play or use on a previous iteration, you can use on the newest. So, yes, given that Trap Team is available in the app store, that doesn't change from one iOS device to another, at least, in this case, tablet wise.

That's good to hear I was planning to get the iPad Air 2 and the tablet starter pack on Black Friday. Hopefully the app will get an update to optimize the graphics for the Air 2.

The Air 2 has the exact same display as the Air 1, there would be nothing to optimize. The game might run a little faster or a little better, but it isn't going to look any different. I am typing this on an Air 2, so after I post, I will grab my portal and make sure everything is fine, I suppose I was going to have to sync the portal at some point anyway.

Well, replying to your questions has furthered my irritation with Toys for Bob, as it pertains to Trap Team, so thanks for that. I say that, because Trap Team runs better on iPad than it does on XBOX 360, and that really ruffles my feathers. I haven't played anything beyond the first level and the first two Kaos challanges on either platform, but on XBOX 360 specifically, the second Kaos level runs very poorly, and stutters A LOT. On iPad, it is as smooth as I'm sure it was supposed to be. And this takes into account running a character and a Piggy Bank through basically the whole challenge. The quality control stuff with this game really ticks me off. I will also say that I very much like the tablet edition controller. Controllers that small are usually pretty crappy, but this one is pretty nice, though it does eat batteries fairly rapidly. I hope you are getting a larger capacity iPad, as once you start the game, it give you the option to "premium install," which I think downloads most of the content to the iPad, so you don't have to every time you play, but the premium install is 6 gigs. If you need any more info, or if anyone else does, feel free to ask.

That's great to hear that the iPad version runs so smooth and I honestly thought that when I heard the details for the portal or the controller that one of them would be a battery eater, and when I do pick up the latest iPad I'm springing that extra $100 to get the 48 extra gigabytes, so to sum everything up, thanks again LordElohim.

op: I've been running on an iPad Air 2 since last thursday. I haven't noticed any significant differences between it and the Air 1... smooth as butter! Picky? I'm not sure why people think the mini 1 (previously named mini) is the same as the mini 2 (previously named mini retina) when the former has half the amount of RAM and slower processor.

And might want to buy rechargeable batteries, they'll save lots of money in the long run.

Everyone wanting to buy a tablet should take this advice. 16GB is not enough anymore, it's baffling that it's even an option on the new lineup.

No, I am not having any problems with any other games. It is the shoddy quality of the 360 version of the game. I even have it installed. It slows and it stutters, particularly when a Piggy Bank is active.

You can not defragment a hard drive on XBOX 360. Do you have the XBOX 360 version of the game, are you speaking from a position of not having the slowdown issue I am talking about?
