No, it really isn't. Maybe in the "hey anything can happen" type thing, but history tells us to not expect Wave 3 until at minimum right before Christmas. Wave 2 hasn't even reached wide distribution yet, it's still uncommon to see those. They never do Black Friday releases, just TRU once with Legendary Stealth Elf. There are plenty of figures out for parents to buy, and only a very small group of people that this would appease that need something new now. Most kids don't even have the game yet. We go through this debate every single year. People keep trying to justify "it'll happen different this year", but it is more wishful thinking than anything.

Ninjini was only rare for about the first month. Trap Shadow also is not rare. The rare figures tend to be the ones that glut the shelves early on and don't re-appear in later waves.

I got lucky when she first came out. Now I see some sites offering $30-$40 for her brand new.

Whirlwind was only at Target for a while in SSA. That doesn't mean she wasn't out. And no, she's not just pre order wave 1, because thousands of people have gotten her without pre order, including me.

Gearshift is EVERYWHERE!! Walmart, GameStop, EB games, TRU, Kmart, best buy, target, and even local game stores..

Yes, but she is not in a standard case assortment - wave 1 or 2. When a store runs out, they won't get more until the case assortment in which she ships. She comes in her own box of just her now, and is common due to an overestimation of pre-orders.

I agree with all of you. By this point making "officially" come out is just pointless. It could have been an afterthought and now she counts as already out. Besides I'd hate to have her take the spot for another Trap Master who isn't out yet.

Haven't seen a single Gearshift, so far.
I really hope she gets an official release, like they said.

Otherwise, that choice would really grind my gears.

Supposedly her official release wasn't supposed to be until 2015, I hope we don't have wait that long for wave 3!!

High Five won't be in Wave 3 because of the ongoing Frito-Lay contest in the US (which they have exclusive rights until the end of the contest) which just started and ends on 12/31/2014. That said, it doesn't mean that and won't be possible candidates for Wave 3, for I'm looking forward to myself.

Guys, last year wave 3 came out really close to Christmas and the Swappers of wave 3 didn't come out until after. It's possible High Five could be in wave 3.

Well with the Tuff Luck prototype that surfaced, I think she'll be released soon.

They won't blow a new wave on Black Friday, it's too soon. Wave 2 isn't even really highly distributed yet. At best they will try to pick up a few last minute buyers and post Christmas gift money - like they do every year with a late December partial release of it.

Amiibos aren't really direct competition and Disney was out last year, too.

This year the game came out earlier than normal, so I hope they do the same for waves!

They won't do it on Black Friday. If it does come out this month, either 11/16 or 11/23 before Black Friday. My TRUs got a lot of TT, SF, with a small amount of Giants and SA. Plus the game [b]did[/d] come out earlier than normal. Look how fast they released Wave 2 in the US..

I know that wave 3 will NOT come out in November, because an employee actually read the releases for this month to me.

When do you "predict" that they will be out? Also thanks! I added this to my trap team spreadsheet of when the characters come out, so even if Acti. takes you down, I have it!

What is this "1x" "2x" "3x" etc? Also, Wallop, those Minis, Gill Grunt, Fryno, and some of those Traps are already out.

They are the numbers of figures they will have in stock, if I remember correctly.
As for the characters already out, I think they will probably be re-released, as some of them (especially Wallop) were quite hard to find as part of Wave 1.

FINALLY! We get a Magic Trap Master!
Ka-Boom and Trail Blazer, along with Small Fry and Weeruptor, will finish my Team Fire.
Tuff Luck will finish my Life Trap Masters.
I can finally complete some of my chapters with Blastermind, though I was kind of leading towards Enigma.

Well....with that info, I can give a rough estimation of what Waves 4 and 5 will be, not counting restock of old figures, new traps, triple packs or variants.
For (probably) the last two waves, here's what's left:

Trap Masters
Enigma, Thunderbolt, Short Cut & Gear Shift
The last two waves will probably have two from the above list, along with either Knight Light or Knight Mare.

Cores
Fling Kong, Echo, Flip Wreck & Rocky Roll
Two of these will probably be in each of the last two waves

Pet Vac/Breeze & Whisper Elf
One of these packs will probably be in each of the remaining waves

Last, but not least, the last two adventure packs

Whether, or not, Blades, Déjà Vu, Spotlight and Blackout will be released as singles remains to be seen.

This is just a rough guess, or prediction.....not absolute.

Looks like my theory was correct apart from but his stats may have been wrong on the website. had higher stats than these than and by 20 so he wasn't with them.
