While you will be able to potentially find the first four games and Investigations at your Gamestop (or on Amazon), I'm afraid you will need eShop access to buy Dual Destinies on your 3DS. It never got a physical release in the West, you see.

If you've got a 3DS, you might want to wait a couple of months - the remaster of the original trilogy is set to be released digitally before the end of the year! That will probably be the best and cheapest way to get them.

I'm a huge fan, yeah! I'm actually currently replaying the games because I wanted to revisit them before getting started on Dual Destinies. It's been so many years since I last played them... I'm on the second case of Trials and Tribulations right now, and it's even better than I remembered! :D

EDIT: THAT'S A FIRE EMBLEM TOPIC FFS.

I've been meaning to finish Dual Destinies, but I can't get into it as much as I did the other games. Apollo Justice was really the same, and was the weakest entry in the series, but I didn't have other stuff to occupy me then, so I blew through it. I've also been putting off doing all of the DLC for PLvsAA.

This game has been tempting me, I've watched a few videos on youtube. I've never played it before, however. Is this game worth grabbing and trying out?

I'm on the 4th case, even though I've had the game the moment it launched on the eShop.

Only played the first. Got stuck. Sold it.

Before the crossover got released, I had only payed Professor Layton. But to be ready, I purchased the first three games, and I really loved them. I still prefer Professor Layton's gameplay, but the Ace Attorney series, particularly the stories and music, is very good

I see. I suppose it's not as good as the originals, but I still want to play it. In terms of gameplay and story, I still prefer Professor Layton, but Ace Attorney is still an amazing series

It's just missing something.

Idk if its like no backstories, persistent witnesses, sucky trials or what bleh.

I completed Dual Destinies a few months ago, definitely worth it. Great cases, and it was interesting to play throughout. Although, I haven't played any of the other Ace Attorney games before- *shot*.

Well, that' just the deal with the series. You have to play each and all of them in order to really appreciate the stories and references.

FINALLY DECIDED TO FINISH DUAL DESTINIES, AND THIS LAST CASE HAS ME FLIPPING OUT CAUSE IT'S AMAZING. IT'S LIKE CASES 2-3 WERE FILLERS LIKE IN THE NARUTO ANIME.

But its worth ieetttt

Who knows, but all that we know right now is that the prequel game is in development right now which takes place in the Meiji Era, titles "Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken" or in English "Great Turnabout Trial: The Adventure of Ryuunosuke Naruhodou".

It is.

Then it is not a sequel, but a prequel. They are doing just like with the Professor Layton series

You should be able to play it, regardless of region. (owner of many Japanese and PAL DS games that work on NTSC 3DS)

The first two cases are always easy to let new players get used to it, then they get difficult.

My review on the cases so far...

1: Hmm. This is really good for people starting off with the series. Easy af

2: It was kool, tho at the end i still wasn't 100% sure what happened

3: Ugggghhhh why do you have to come back junie. This felt more like a drama then a case. It is a good start off for the dark age of the law tho.
